The reason it says winter soldier on the box is because in the final act you can see him wear the suit.

My favorite Captain America suit is the First Avenger suit! P.s. he rewears a modified version of the original suit with a lighter shade of blue & three red strips on the abdomen instead of the original 2 red stripes in the Winter Solider that modified “Smithsonian suit” is the one this Mafex figure is based on!

I have the Winter Soldier Cap. Easier to just use mounting sticky tack to place the shield on his back. Easy to put on/take off plus it stays on really well.

Hey sir dork! Love your photography!! I have a quick hack that you may be interested in! I’m never pleased with the experience or result of caps shield on figures, but what I do across the board is use a touch of sticky tack to mount the shield on his arm and back. This eliminates the floating shield and is fast and easy. Feel free to share with the channel, I’m surprised I’ve never seen a reviewer promote this idea before but I hope you find it helpful!

If you use the “gun holding” hands to grab on the fixed strap you don’t need the forearm strap at all. The grip on it is secure enough where u can move and pose around and it won’t fall.

Near the end of Winter Soldier Captain America breaks into the museum steals the suit from the Captain America exhibit. The suit is a cleaner version of the suit from the First Avenger. The vintage non-Vibranium shield sits in a rock as part of the exhibit. The rock and the original shield accessories are a call back to that part of the movie. My favorite Captain America look is the Infinity War bearded look.

As a kid, i used to LOVE the avengers 2012 suit, it was my favourite coz i really loved the red and blue colour scheme. As of now,i think i really like the first avnger ww2 suit with the bomber jacket. It was ripped straight out of the ultimate comics and looks really cool and tactical.Great vid and great fig.

My favorite suit is definitely the one from captain America first avenger, it is a really well designed suit that blends comic book look to a more practical look. For the hands to hold the shield it looks like you can use the gun holding hands to securely grip the shield belt strap.

Another closer look and you’ll see that even the helmets are different between the First Avenger and Winter Soldier suit. Eyeholes of the First Avenger is bigger than the WS Smithsonian suit.

Oí m8 you can use the trigger finger hand to properly hold the shield in place instead of the open palm hand. Also you don’t necessarily need the other strap if you’re using the trigger finger hand which is a plus

My favorite suit of captain American is the first average suit or you can say the winter soldier movie too because he does wear it in the final battle of the movie. I do remember watching the movie in theaters I was like 6 years old watching it and it's one of my favorite Captain American movies ever When I saw they were actually finally making a figure of him I was so excited for it and I love the way they made his shield and figure itself is just like in the movie!

You are right. That's his suit from the 1st movie. But in the Winter Soldier movie he needs a new suit, so they go to the Captain America memorial i think in DC, & he steals the original suit from the 1st movie. It was in a mannequin, which is also where that rock & his original shield came from, as it was part of the display. So, in my opinion, you are right. This is his best suit. Please consider me for the giveaway. I just found you on youtube, so I'll subscribe right now. The issues with the shield going on his back & the rock display are what turns me off about this figure. I've heard a bunch of people say the "2012 time travel Cap" is actually the best Cap. So i guess it depends on what you like. Did you review the Mafex Winter Soldier, & if 😢 your opinion?? This suit is from Winter Soldier, it's meant to be from First Avenger but it's not, I have all the Hot Toys Caps, and side by side the suits have a lot of differences, curiously both HT and MAFEX have given this Cap a squished head, regardless this figure is excellent, I love the tuning fork hands!
