Since you're in the Midwest, I'd love for you to feature my cousin Vanessa Cook's story. She was a probation officer, and she was kidnapped, gang r**ed, tortured and held captive for days before being shot in the head and left in a field in Gary, Indiana. She was 25 years old. The killers were 16, 17, and 19 yrs old. They got ridiculously short sentences. But when the eldest was released ... he does it again to a 15 yr old girl! Vanessa was just recently recognized as the 1st Black woman who died in the line of duty in Indiana and had a building named on her honor in Gary in February of this year. This case brings chills all over my body. I remember it well because I was 19 and visiting my family in Cleveland when it happened. Rest well, sweet girl! You are remembered by so many people than you could ever begin to imagine now...💔💔💔 (EDIT: The dedication was on February 28th, 2022. I originally said January, but I was mistaken and corrected it. I appreciate all the condolences as well. I was exactly 9 months old to the day when this happened, and I'm now 42. I grew up "in the shadows of Vanessa" as the kids in my generation of the family say. It scared our parents so much to let us out of their sight. This was before being a helicopter parent was even a thing. But because she was kidnapped in her neighborhood just going to the store after work, and we still lived in the area, it was hard for them to allow us to just be kids. We're so close in my generation because our cousins were almost the only friends we were allowed to have. But as an adult I appreciate it because we're all still very tapped into one another's lives and still have close bonds. We're just happy that after 41 years, the state finally recognized that her death was because of her position working for them and she's finally gotten her flowers. I just wish her mom had lived to see it. She passed on January 20th, Vanessa's bday, this year. R.I.H. to my grandfather's twin, my great-aunt and Van's mom Edna Robinson Cook and her father my great-uncle Frank. W. Cook).

The kind of mean spirited pointless "pranks" people who are drunk, high or just plain a holes find hilarious. And she was struck. I used it to find old tunnels in mines, burials that were done during the Civil War to hide some of their guns and ammo, and then finding hidden structures under ground like where homes used to stand. Basically what got me into it besides archeology was your countries most popular archeology show Time Team. I used to watch that show every time a new show came on. I wish Mick was still alive. He was a wealth of knowledge

Around Dayton you have so many areas to hide a body of ways to hide a body. There is body's of water and abandoned buildings. You could easily go to Indiana or even Kentucky to hide it. Michigan isn't all that far either. We.have farm land and if they knew someone that has a pig farm. She wouldn't ever be found. If memory serves me correct. I think the lawyer passed away and so did a few other people that knew where she might have possibly been baried.

Lamont. If you are ever in the Phoenix area I hope you will do a story about a young girl that was abducted from the streets of Mesa , Arizona in January 1999 and has never been found. Her name is Mikelle Biggs and her abduction has left Arizona devastated . Her sister and her were waiting for the ice cream truck and her sister ran home to get more money and when she returned the front tire on her sisters bike was still spinning . It was that fast. She was gone and has never been found. Please share this story. We will never forget her.

Another local case where she'll never be found. That POS Vincent doan should sit in prison till he tells where she's at & what happened to her that night!
@lorileew23372 жыл бұрын
The fact that Vincent Doan was sent to Prison even though Carrie's body has never been found is small amount of Justice for her family..Vincent thought he'd never get caught without her body being found well, in our Country the body of the victim doesn't need to be found for a murder conviction..He'll never tell where they put her v body he's a Sociopath Narcissist he'd never admit Guilt and then tell where she is.. Vincent murdered Carrie went crying to his Dad and Brother so they'd helped him make sure her body would never be found.. A Law Enforcement Official also told them "when" a pond/lake was going to be searched giving them a chance to get Carrie's body out of that pond if she was there.. The Law Enforcement Official was fired I believe for telling them beforehand that the pond/lake was being searched.

Lamonte you were born a natural tour guide! I love hearing a bit of wind hit the mic and the nature noises. Last night I was listening to the David Vetter episode while going to sleep and I felt like I was out there walking it myself. I absolutely love your channel friend. I’ve never heard this case, and that’s another reason I love your videos, you tell stories about everyone from every walk of life.

The original person that called 2 yrs later & gave police Gabriel & his GF’s names- was that an anonymous tip or did they eventually interview them? IF they’re still anonymous, they possibly know more. Someone out there knows something. I wish this poor family could get some answers that would bring their baby girl back home to them.

I can’t believe there was no forensic evidence in the van if the little girl was really in there. I’ve seen live and deceased bodies after being struck by vehicles (adults & children) and there’d almost have to be blood and body fluids in the vehicle. I wonder what the other occupants stories were?

Rest In Peace Erica.🕊💐 I can’t even imagine the heart break her parents are going through still to this day. I hope that someone eventually finds her remains so she can have a proper burial. This is such a horrible thing to happen to any child or adult. There are so many evil people in this world… I’m glad you did this story Lamont, when people watch this video, it keeps Erica’s memory alive and she’s not forgotten… You stay safe out there Lamont, too many crazy people out there…😊💟
