I used to say its searing pain...or call it an explosion. But when i looked closer... it was just a tightness and soreness. I never call it pain now. Just a symptom or "Im uncomfortable ". Im early on in my journey but with good results so far ! I dont fear the symptoms anymore.❤

Thanks Jim for a great perspective. It’s so true. We label everything in the worst possible way. And I really appreciate that you consistently state that it’s ALL mind/ body. Many practitioners don’t do this and that causes doubt.

So true!! Labels are not helpful at all. When I feel a sensation I try not to panic and carry on as normal

Thanks Jim. Great Reminder to be aware of the thoughts and words one uses. 🙏 I feel like talking about a sensation in a neutral more descriptive way is not detrimental to progress at all. Sometimes it's just a basic need to share our experience.

Memory issues-> fear-> more working memory issues, i had googled it more and more, how do i determine these are not working memory hipocampus shrinkage ...etc, its been TMS all the time. i got scared with memory issues when tms took over. i have been in figkt or flight /panic for 2 years. my world shrunk, but now it has gotten beter and better rapidly. Guide me to gain my memory/ intellectual confidence back. i use to feel like i forget whatever i learn ; no matter what, for past 2 years but it was in hyper sensitized state for 2 years.

Thank you for this. Language is so important when retraining the brain and is a big part of Dr Phil Parker’s The Lightning Process.

Thank you for your videos. I’m finding them extremely helpful and I’m sharing with others who are struggling. One suggestion: Might you raise your camera so your gaze is slightly higher? It’s just nice to look into your eyes. For some reason it helps. 👁️ 😊

I love the term “BS!” Brain sensations. And yes, they are BS! 😊

What if it’s not really a sensation though? I have a lot of hormonal stuff such as acne etc as a part of being “chronically ill”. Thanks

😊 thank you I love what you said but I took an MRI show two herniations and two bulging discs in the lower spine cuz was experiencing l burning and tightness I had a lot of emotions about this because when I first got this it went away in 3 months and I got triggered by a chiropractor just two weeks later and now it's been 6 months there's been a lot of frustration going on my emotions are a lot better but how do I know this is TMS and not real herniation symptoms
@g.siporin40009 ай бұрын
Hi Jim, one mind body coach said to name the sensation that you don’t have to look for an emotion behind it.

Thanks, words do indeed matter. I've long wondered if certain allergies, like pollen, which causes an over reaction in the immune system to basically a harmless or normal substance can be dealt with by using your approach to chronic issues?
