Programming Languages
Compilers produce hex files that are downloaded to ROM of microcontroller. The size of the hex file is the main concern as Microcontrollers have limited on-chip ROM.
C programming is less time consuming but has a larger hex file size. The reasons for writing programs in C It is easier and less time consuming to write in C than Assembly. C is easier to modify and update.
You can use code available in function libraries
C code is portable to other microcontrollers with little or no modification

LED won't appear to be turning OFF, it'll stay ON (its blinking but very fast so we can't perceive OFF action)

Good post for beginners. I loved it. But 1 doubt. In the example you have given, j goes till 1274 in the loop. How is this possible. Isn't unsigned int in the range of 0-255 for 8 bit microcontroller. Pls help me

There's no such calculation, the keil ide shows how much size of code is generated in each compilation
