Year three is probably about right given how raw his hand work is now. By the end of this season he'll probably be winning reps just from finally getting into shape. I'm thinking about seven or eight sacks next season, then star level in year three.

Do a rundown on the impact the top 10 or so players drafted. Tyree may become a very good player by year 3. Thank God we took him at #7 so we could wait years for him to develop. Pass rushers should have pass rush moves.

@@YeeHee-ds8vh He clearly isn't balanced. And anyone lined up in a wide 9 technique is considered a pass rusher. Hopefully he stays healthy going into the off season so he can actually work on developing instead of rehab, it will make all the difference. On the first play that you are raving about - by the time Wilson drives the tight end back - the running back would have been 5 yards downfield. The fact that the back went strait up the middle is more an indictment of the back than Wilson blowing up the play.

Good breakdown. Folks, look carefully how many blockers it's taking to block just the front four. They having to chip to protect their tackles. I get the frustration for the process. But you can clearly see coaching has helped him a great deal. Best dline combination is #99,69,90,9.

This is why I think it's a better idea to trade for a DT and not a DE unless he's moving inside. He relies on strength largely and that won't come as a rookie or even year 2. He has to build that grown man muscle most guys get in the first 3 years

If this guy can get going like we think he can, it will help our entire D-line. I think the criticism of our DT's can be traced to the fact that Maxx is the only dominant player on the D-line, nd you really need 2 dominant guys causing problem for the blocking schemes before you start to see the other guys make an impact.

In this 3/4 2 gap defense Tyree needs to be more of the Richard Seymour than a 4/3 Khalil Mack pass Rusher .The defensive line/linebacker combination doesn’t fit well with the personnel on the team.Maxx is a 4/3 DE and Tyree is a 3 technique DE.Ziegler might not be the right GM.PATRICK GRAHAM is running a read and react defense which is a bad mixture when your linebackers and secondary whiff on so many tackles.

Exactly that’s why the defense doesn’t work!Tyree skill set is a 3 technique DE.THE FIRST illustration shows that but for the sake of not having to play MAXX out of position as a hybrid linebacker where teams would force him out In coverage the Raiders coordinator has him playing his rightful position as a DE in a 4/3.Tyree is a 3/4 DE who will never provide double digit sacks,in other words they drafted the wrong dude to bookend with Maxx.

Flash? Tyree Wilson was a top tier 1st Round draft pick, and should be an immediate contributor. Tired of Raiders drafting bums & calling them good players until they're dished else where. Once again far better talent passed up for scrub in the 1st Round! "Just wait, he only needs 3 years to be that guy." FOOLS that is not how it works, and drafting poorly is one of the reason Raiders have been bottom feeders for so long! Start calling it out like it is & stop reporting fluff! Problem is they draft guys in early rounds to develope, and find guys like Crosby that instantly contribute in laters rounds. Ash backwards! @Desmo1
@Desmo1 7 ай бұрын
First play the TE is a non name that initiates contact much too high and is standing straight up, that should've equated to Wilson blowing his man up, instead he struggles and ultimately gets thrown to the ground. Keep in mind that was just a TE at that, not a Tackle. Second play, the tackle knows Wilson has no shot making it to the rb so he's just there to buy him some time, nothing at all to applaud by Wilson. Also, the tackle didn't even put hands on him, it was a shoulder. 3rd play again, the tackle knows that ball is coming out quick, he's just there to buy time. Look, we all want Wilson to show something but I think we're grasping here. He's just so bad in general that anything, just anything he remotely shows we jump on it to mask our regret. He's still one of the worst guys on defense and still one of, if not the slowest getting off. We needed immediate help with that pick and got as you say a player that may be gives us a good ROI in year 3, that's the mentality of bad teams right there.
