From my personal experience, I know what I've seen and known. When I see a really good-looking guy with a less attractive partner, it is because the guy had a glow-up, the partner was precisely what they were looking for in personality and mindset, or the guy works out for himself for his own betterment and doesn't care what the partner looks like as long as he is in love with them. But this is my own bias; I personally think it's because the guy had a glow-up and learned before that glow-up looks aren't everything.

I’m not gonna hold you, I’m watching this and I want to agree and I think the sentiment is sweet but I’ve been called ugly for so long that I can’t appreciate someone saying I’m beautiful on the inside and out. It’s that “on the inside” part that upsets me because I’ve only ever not wanted to be ugly. I’ve always been told I’m “kind”, “sweet”, “funny” but I mean, when you’re told you’re ugly for 30 years, being described as “kind” doesn’t seem as gratifying. So, when I talk about not being physically attractive, and someone says “well, there’s more to beauty than the outer appearance” it still sounds like you’re calling me ugly lol. Sorry to “trauma dump”. I know the internet hates that, but those are just my thoughts watching this video. It gave me hope but also recalled some of those other feelings as well.
