Oooh, that's a cool take! In my AU, Ame wears sunglasses because she only has one working eye; the other one is just an empty socket due it being surgically removed after 9/11 happened. She's pretty comfortable with it, but she knows not everyone else is, so she wears sunglasses in public + important meetings/gatherings to avoid unnecessary attention being drawn to it

Kinda the same for my USA but she has kind of scary eyes so it scares other countries (specifically Poland and Germany and Britain) so she wears sunglasses but she doesn't feel insecure about her eyes despite loving to scare countries lol

Tbh for my ame he wears them cause he had them since he was a child and won't stop wearing them cause he had a deceased mother and those glasses were from his mother and that was the last thing that he ever got from his mom so yeah

In my AU, I made USA wears the sunglasses to prevent himself getting blinded by the sun cause he has blue eyes. It's as easy as that. But if I had to think if a sentence or line he would say (without feeling any romantic stuff).. "Ur beauty is gonna be the end of my sight that's why I wore them." or "I don't want you to gaze into my eyes for hours to find inner peace, darling." My friend is the reason why I have a flirty personality located within me and it choose to be one of my USA's personality.

This is a really neat take! Definitely some signs of autism or ADD but idk. In my au, Ame wears them because of her eye bags from crying at 3am every night, don't ask why

Not because he hates his eyes or because they're "ugly". But because of the weight they hold. Sclera & irises in my AU don't work like you'd think. The darker black they are the more "big bad a-" (If you get this. Cool-) they've been through. The blacker the eyes become. If the eyes are jet black, they've been the "big bad a"ed in either more ways than one or for a long, long time. USA suffered physical and mental "big bad a." just a tip! To make sitting more realistic get rid of the shadow! It's alright for standing sometimes but for sitting or falling it would make it more real if the shadow was gone.

in my AU USA wears sunglasses because in the war of independence his father (UK)somehow burned his eyes out of anger and full of revenge. I won't go into the details of how. And he wears them so that no one laughs at him or draws attention with mockery, plus he also has quite large scars and with them he usually brags that ( he says he is the bravest or something like that if he has many mental problems lmao)Sorry for bad english.I dont really care

When will Uncle Sam wear shades?: During days of a solar eclipse. (Example: 2017.) Reason: The sun can hurt his eyes, including his right eye. Unlike one of those solar eclipse glasses, they're also VERY protective.
