These guys get professional results with nitrogen. I've done some home and driveway repairs with hot air and am left choosing between poor fusion from running too cold and burning the part running too hot. Burnt plastic has no ductility and will experience brittle failure quickly.

Can't believe people would be stupid enough to use hydrogen ! Bah !! You never know !

Usually just once.

ha ha! Oxygen is even worse! You don't even need a spark with Oxygen and once it catches light it can burn anything.

nitrogen - no hydrogen

@@marianmarian6760 No the video gave a warning not to use Hydrogen or Oxygen. That's clearly what he is referring to.

plastic bumper cover is just a decoration - why does it need a strong weld? when will the gas pipeline be welded with nitrogen? there a strong weld has its meaning.....

You've clearly never driven down Carling Avenue in the spring.

What if you just gently knock your bumper against something and it cracks on the repair spot? Do the job properly the first time. You don't need an expensive set up either. I can achieve the same with a soldering iron and a nitrogen feed.

@@marianmarian6760 but I bet it looks all shitty and burnt. I can get a cylinder of nitrogen for £30 and a regulator for the same price, plus some tubing for not much. And bumpers are designed to absorb energy not just for the vehicle and the occupants but for things they hit, like pedestrians. Your repair is more likely to give way and expose a pedestrian to bare metal. It's up to you but personally, I wouldn't like to know I was responsible for injuring someone more severely just because I was cheap.
