It could just be that's how they formed. For whatever reason the raw material in their accretion disks possessed momentum that averaged out to approximately their present day axis of rotation.

no amaerican knows htf to pronounce uranus
@BengalGecko Жыл бұрын
The guy in the video is pronouncing it correctly. The American pronunciation is slightly different from the British pronunciation. The American pronunciation of Uranus is yr·ay·nuhs. The British pronunciation is yuor·ray·nuhs. So no; all Americans say it correctly because newsflash; different countries have different dialects. Shocking I know but considering that you spelled American as "amaerican" you clearly wouldn't know.

@@BengalGecko no, because Uranus is named after the Greek god of the sky, there is only one correct pronunciation of the planets name! it is only pronounced differently cos of the stupid joke popularized in the USA decades ago, but it doesn't change the pronunciation is incorrect in this video. correct pronunciation is "yuor · ray · nuhs"

@mrjimjimjimmyjim9824 that's... how he's pronouncing it in the video. I think it's more like "yur uh nus" at least according to Neil lol
@mrjimjimjimmyjim9824 Жыл бұрын
the emphasis in the video is being said as "yu" as if its a separate syllable, before getting to the "r" bout the "r" is included in the pronunciation to be "yuor" outside of america its strange to hear it as said in any other way. despite this being popularized in the usa it doesnt make it use correct

@@mrjimjimjimmyjim9824Probably worth checking with a Greek friend (if you have one) how he'd pronounce Ουρανός.
