Adia is such a great host and she's got an unique way to tell every single aspect of Vienna. We are planning our family trip and we are finding all these videos super useful and original. Is it possible to name a few of the local store and shops?

You forgot the greatest park, "Lainzer Tiergarten", much greater than the Prater. It is more a natural wildlife zoo were you can hike but only on the paths.

You should have shown excellent public transportation networks, walkability and bickability in Vienna as well. They are some of the most essential elements of a sustainable city.

Vienna's surrounding are green, I'm absolutely with you on that! But the city centre is quite gray and full of stone though.
@bethgriesauer38252 жыл бұрын
That's only one district out of 23 and even the first district has green outside of the hub. Also, hidden within the grey buildings are often green courtyards.

At 1:08 Prater is not a 6 thousand square kilometer whatever. Baffles the mind how little the people writing these scripts actually know what such numbers mean. It´s probably 6 km2, which is still plenty comparing to Hyde Park in London at roughly 2,5 km2 and Central Park in NY at 3,4 km2
@Vienna2 жыл бұрын
You are 100% right, we made a hoppala in the voiceover. It's 6.000.000 m2 big :)

@@Vienna 6 mio m2 puts in perspective the sheer scale and is also factually correct :)

Vienna is pretty green and is definitely greener than other cities which google returns as 'greenest in the world' for some reason, like Copenhagen. However once you take a look at chinese or malaysian cities - you will immediately find out which cities are truly greenest in the world. The amount and quality of green there is insane, it assaults your feelings. You truly feel like the city is a part of forest. So no disrespect to Vienna but it's not the greenest city in the world, although probably in Europe.
@geaninavasile4624 Жыл бұрын
Also not in Europe . Hamburg is pane of the greenest city in Europe . There are beautiful and large parks every corner , trees in every streets beautiful gardens with flowers in every district . I live in Vienna and I see no green , almost every neighborhood is only Beton, the lack of trees and gardens are insane . I don’t find Vienna green at all.
@Alexus095 Жыл бұрын
@@geaninavasile4624 yeah you're right - Hamburg does look greener from the satellite view. I randomly checked Dusseldorf and it looks greener as well. Actually Copenhagen looks greener on satellite too, but previously I was judging from the drive through vid and it seemed less green than Vienna. Also Moscow looks greener from both satellite view and my experience of living there. So yeah they have no reason to claim Vienna is the greenest in Europe, but to claim 'in the world' - that's just comedy gold. I recently watched a drive through vid from China where they were riding a 300km highway between cities. 90% of separation barrier was covered in topiary. So if chinese took trouble to plant and maintain growth across this highway, you may imagine how their cities look like.
