David I so enjoy your videos! Both my mother & I are dealers I do primarily mid-20th century art, and my mother does a more general antiques, part of that postcards with cat themes, the Victorian ones, also Louis Wain can fetch a very high price. I can also relate to his night owling. top tip, save those emails as drafts and wait until what more conventional people call the early hours, to press send😁

for me as an expert collector of postcards this video is brilliant... i really want people to believe that all postcards are worth up to five pounds each 😂 ... if only!!...as with everything you've got to know what you're looking for... it's a specialist thing and most general antiques dealers won't touch postcards because they don't understand them... i could educate people further but it's not in my interest to do so... i really thought that david would have known more about postcards than he seems to do... he could really be missing out on some of his hunts and roadtrips...but great to see postcards featured and i'd have been more than happy to have gone through those boxes and picked out any gems that the dealer...however unlikely...might have missed... 75% of postcards are virtually worthless...it's the other 25% that those in the know look for and capitalise on.

For a whole pound, why not? You might even find your street! Or even your house. My grandfather's WWI induction photo is on postard paper; it's what they could get so it's what they used. Adopt some orphaned tommies.
