In the city of Antioch, the believers were first called Christians. In the year 107AD, the 3rd bishop of Antioch was the first to refer to the Christians as Catholic.

@@notme5762 it’s more than the timeline. It wasn’t another ancient city that was just conquered by greeks. It was a totally greek city from its founding, inhabited by greeks and some other, greek speaking people. That means it had institutions etc, that encouraged all knowledge and new ideas to flourish, like Alexandia of egypt at the same time. It’s not a coincidence that christianity was invented and formatted, mostly in these 2 greek cities.

So what happened at the incident of Antioch? Why was there a strong disagreement between between Paul on one side and Peter, Barnabas and James on another?

I so really want to know when and how Sunday the 1st day of the week became, the official day that the Christians started to meet for church services...? In the light of the fact tbat through Matthew to the book of Acts it is very clear that they met on the 7th day the Sabbath day... How and when did Sunday became the day to congregate as church? Any biblical foundation to call it the Lord's day? Last question are Christians not bound to keep the Sabbath anymore? If sois it based how our Lord Jesus Christ answered the pharisees on the Sabbath... If so, does it mean that the 4th commandment is no longer valid? I so dearly wish to know and/or directed to read somewhere that would reveal tbose answers... Thank you

Knowing the sermon on the mount Mathew 5,6,7 most of the commandments are not valid ! Those are the new Christian commandments. Check the teachings of the Eastern Orthodox church like; Antiochian Orthodox Church of North America.

The Sabbath predates the covenant at Sinai and even Abraham's call. Jesus' interactions with the Pharisees regarding the Sabbath revealed his understanding of the commandments, leading to a transformed application in the Church. In Genesis, God's act of creation addresses chaos and emptiness over six days, culminating in rest on the seventh day. Humanity's failure to fulfill the command to fill and subdue the earth is redeemed by Christ, who completes creation through his death and resurrection. Christ's rest in the tomb on the seventh day fulfills the Sabbath, and his resurrection on the first day establishes it as the Lord's Day. The Lord's Day symbolizes participation in Christ's resurrection and eternal life, fulfilling the Sabbath's purpose in worshiping the Father. The Sabbath is not abolished but fulfilled in Christ's resurrection and the beginning of a new creation.

Very good content. I'm a new subscriber. But it's a bit off-putting to see hyper-Catholic uniforms (with crosses everywhere) on some of the characters. Nobody dressed like that until much later.

Constantine didn't make Christianity official. religion of Empire He just made it not illegal to practice. Don't think that's what you are saying, but in case it is, just want to clear that up.
