If it were not the Heroic Military Conquests under Peshaws, Holkars, Shindes, Gaikwads, Puars and Dabhade a great Part of India would've been Under Mughal/Durrani Clutches. • It were Gaikwads who helped Dadabhai Nawroji and many others • Scholarship to Dr Ambedkar was Provided by Karveer Shrimant and Baroda Naresh. • Holkars carried out Large Scale renovation of Temples.

As an Odia, I have come to love all the different languages and cultures of my country, it's difficult not to once you start to explore their characteristic rich but intertwined histories. For the Gujratis, a heartiest જય અંબે મા. I just love your splendid flowy language, characteristic temple architecture, the playful Gujrati script and the unique dishes, plus the highly jovial nature of Gujratis, who have come to be passive in their own state, regarding languages. ગુજરાત બા has graced us with gems like Sardarji patel, the Tatas, Adanis, our national father and our beloved PM. I just hope, more Gujratis pay attention to their sweet language and adore it in the future. Ah the Marathis, छत्रपति शिवाजी माहाराजांचा जयजयकार , we won't find a more patriotic community like them, towards the country as well as to their glorious resplendent language. Y'all are so accommodating to many linguistic groups, your architecture is beautiful, the dishes so full of चाव and ho, the fighter spirit in your people woes anyone who comes to your state. महाराष्ट्र आई has bestowed Shivaji Maharaj, Tilakji, Ambedkarji, Thackeray sahib graciously to all of India, the marathi language is ever glorious, although at the very least, Marathis themselves ought to know about their cultural Modi script( vast majority is ignorant inspite of having tonnes of ancestral letters in the aforesaid script) and give it a co-official status with Balbodh script. Learning both the languages was fun for me, in some matters one language was closer to Odia and vice-versa. The endings in Gujrati are numerous and you sometimes find it so hard to distinguish between gha and dha; cha and ya, but nevertheless worth rewarding. Marathi pronounciation is aptly peculiar to imbibe, the nuances of dialects, conjugations at the end, but it has been a wonderful experience. The biggest problem was gender in both languages, which was opposite in many cases and hard to remember, since Odia doesn't have gender at all.

Marathi people were workers not because of illiteracy but because of the huge population, Mumbai is surrounded by Marathi people who were the land owners and Have a powerful history. In school, we learned that the Britishers build Mumbai city or build the first railway but the thing is Shankar Seth Murkute sir was the first person who convinced the Britishers and funded the first railway project. started the first trading and political organization at his House with Britishers. Helped the marine trade to grow, Most of Mumbai's land is donated by him. He used to give loans to Britishers, today's Mumbai police headquarters was built by Britishers but the funding was given by Surat Maratha Sardar named Gaikwad ji, And so on... The trading capital of Britishers was Surat but Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj looted it so many times, that Britishers were scared of Marathas. British had no choice but to move to Mumbai They came here to trade and had not enough to build the entire land capital Marathi, Gujrati, and Parsi are the ones who provided funds. It's not that the literacy rate was less among the Marathi people but they had no trading history as they belong to the warrior background. If you google who built the Gateway of India you'll find that George wittet built it, but the thing He was the architect and the civil engineer who built it was Mr. Ravbahadur Desai sir who was a local. even has a name of him to the chowk near the Gateway of India. And the main this is there is a Gateway of India model at is resident in Gaondevi. Our History is hidden ... If you see the Geographical location Within a 100km radius there are 80% Marathi people. There was only Koli tribal community exited on islands of Bombay even before Portuguese and East India Company. Gujaratis and Parsees came much later into the business. Kolis were part of Swarajya and Bombay was protected by Marathas. So basically Marathis were not only labours but also warriors who fought for the soul. That’s why Sanyukta Maharashtra movement was run successfully. You should’ve mention all that in detail.

@@harshyagnik5334 I believe in Dr Ambedkar not you ... Who are you ? There has been lot of sultanates since so many years across India ..even mh was part of another sultanate ... But the fact is Gujarati never ruled mh but vice versa is true. Britishers used people according to their requirement and shifted from one place to another .. tamilians were shifted to Malaysia / Singapore , south Africa for doing labour work ... According to 1941 population date 51% of locals were marathis and rest migrated and some other religion settled long ago. Gujaratis got free warehouses and lands by Britishers that's why they grown up in business .. Marathas were busy fighting for swarajya and saved not only Gujarat but also almost whole India ... 1857 revolt by tatya tope , manikarnika tambe , peshwa ,angal landey etc etc and then gokhale and lokmanya tilak , savarkar , Subhash Chandra Bose etc who continued the fight against British Finally mahatma Gandhi followed teaching from gokhle and helped for freedom So inspite having so many freedom fighters Gandhi is well known and called father of nation why ? Cause he was the last well know person alive during freedom. You can't jump the guns .. now Mumbai is part of mh that's the truth . So don't jump the guns .... My comment was according to Ambedkar what he said to Gujaratis on 9 points after freedom to desai and his Gujarati team and has logic in it . Want to add something in it... chatrapati shivaji maharaj raided Surat 2 times it resulted in way that Surat became a difficult place to trade. And shivaji maharaj started giving protection to Mumbai's traders and thats when most of traders moved to Bombay from surat. More credits to ch. Shivaji maharaj 🙌🙌🙌

He did not raid Surat, he attacked the Mughal Empire in Surat, he wanted to bring it under Bhagwa (saffron) flag from Islamic occupation.

I had always wondered how so many Gujarati people, also especially Parsis ended up in Mumbai... Informative.... Although Mumbai is geographically included in Maharashtra, it is mostly a city that was developed as a trade capital and still a place of opportunities... It is in Mumbai's air....

I'm proud Maharashtrian and half Gujarati. (because my wife is Gujarati.) And Mumbai has it's own language even if you hear Gujarati, Hindi & Marathi it's sound same many words mixed up in Mumbaiyya language. My observation about Gujjus are, this community is peace lover, foodie, they enjoy festivals, same time they talk very loudly. They are good in family bonding and relationship. Jains are known for their charity. And Mumbaikar never hating any other language speaker community. All hatred built up by politicians. Over migration is an issue in many countries so is here. But Marathi generation is changing, it's progressing. In coming years You'll see.

So at that time Marathi people were fighting for Bombay city because they felt that the city was built by Marathi work force and they ignored Gujarati capital but in early 2000 they were throwing bihari and UP labour outside. at that time they forgot that these labours are also responsible in making of Mumbai City stange Haan 🤔🙄
@sarveshjadhav96172 жыл бұрын
They are not fighting because they were just labors or work force they are fighting because local marathi people like agri,koli are land owners of mumbai .
@ShivamSharma-56222 жыл бұрын
There are multiple angles to this. Do not base your opinion on one video. The land (except the area near Gujarat) was mostly owned by the original Maharashtrians. And about throwing UP, Bihar workers out of Maharashtra, that was a whole political thing to get votes. And I agree, it was wrong.
