I didn’t ask to be born and now I have to live until I die I think about this concept literally every single day of my life, the fact that I did not ask to be born and that I was born to two people who were definitely not meant to be parents. And now, because of their recklessness and poor decision making I must continue to live my meaningless life. This doesn’t sit well on me. Now, I can either suffer through life until I’m elderly and pass away or off myself which I also don’t feel like doing. @@bosleystrails You just called my thoughts subjective but you answered me with dogma. I’m not sure if Jesus is God. I’m not sure if Jesus’ death somehow atones for my sins. Did I just “send myself to hell”? Do you see now that saying people send themselves to hell is fallacious? It’s not as if God appeared to me and gave me an ultimatum. I am being asked to have “faith” that God (or his son) became human and died on a cross to “pay for my sins”. I find this concept so foreign yet I’ve spent a decade or so thinking about it and I still find it foreign. The book that tells this story is filled with errors, contradictions and moral abominations sanctioned by Yahweh. 800,000 words and yet not a single sentence declaring it’s grave sin to own another human being. We’re told in exodus we can beat our slaves with a rod if he/she is not bedridden for more than two days. The genealogy of Jesus differ in Matthew vs Luke. John and Mark differ on the day Jesus was crucified. Yahweh told Joshua to murder all inhabitants in an enemy territory but to keep the virgins as war booty. Yahweh let Satan torment Job to see if he really loved him but it’s all good because he received a new (different) family in the end. Yahweh tests Abraham to see if he’ll sacrifice his son to him to see if he loved him. Instead of saying “Don’t rape”, the law says man who rapes a woman must marry her and give her father 50 shekels. The Law says if two men are fighting and the wife of one of the men grabs the other mans testicles her hand must be cut off. There’s just too many problematic passages for me to brush aside or pretend that understanding context will lessen the atrocity of these passages. Did I just send myself to hell for using the brain God gave me to decide this cannot be written by the creator of the universe??

Parents choose to have children not the children. Birth is the biggest choice none of us make for ourselves. Why should they be obligated to work and be a slave to the world until one day we die and be forgotten eventually? All because of parents bringing them into the world for their own selfish sense of fulfillment and purpose. Sure life is great but its something kids don't ask for. For all we know kids could be born to bad parents or with trauma or depression, diseases, or deformity. And their whole lives suck and are constantly full of suffering and only having so much time to relax and enjoy life and its all because of a choice their parents made. Granted not all parents want children. Sometimes they're just a result of rape and stuff. Regardless children don't ask to be born. Thats why I'm not having kids.

My life has not been great to put it mildly but I just accept it. Had I had a choice I sure wouldn't have chosen the parents I had and my life. It has been full of sadness, suffering & hardship. I used to wish I had been adopted as a child & cry myself to sleep. Lack of family to turn to was hard & I was on my own. Still from much suffering & going from one diaster to the next I accept it was part of God's plan. I can see that through suffering & pain that God can perfect us making us a more empathetic person with far more understanding & sensitivity to others hardships. I am on my own without any family which has been so hard to endure emotionally with extremely little understanding in the church & amongst practically all Christians - They still leave you on your own but deep down I know there is a purpose for my life. Losing my only son who I brought up on my own made me realise the priorities of life is not in what we have & own but in giving away as much as we can to help others in desperate need of food, clean water, shelter, medical care in many war torn & third world countries. I want to live as long as I can so I can continue to give which I do in memory of my son so that many other lives might be saved. I look forward to the future that eventually I will move to another place away from this lonely city where I live where I might find true Christian fellowship & serve God. There can be light at the end of the tunnel although I will only be able to achieve this with God's help as physical health issues & PTSD make it hard for me to accomplish this on my own. I hope this helps someone to know never give up against so many adversities & things going wrong in life. We don't all have the best start in life & that is obvious. Don't ever give up - Trust God.

We exist because your mother and father made the extremely rash decision of birthing you into this existence for their own selfish reasons. There is no selfless reason for having children, anyone who chooses to have kids while understanding the true nature of existence is far from what I would call a decent human and God knows this. There is no sin for choosing to be childless, but many people don’t even seek wisdom if they should have kids and even then I would tell people to put their thoughts and actions elsewhere. God knew us before we were even born and that makes sense because God has complete control of time, however that does not mean that God gave the go ahead for us to be born and that is why Jesus was sent, so that we who were born into this mistake could actually have a chance. Because of free will, That choice will always remain with us. We are the cause of our own suffering and destruction and people should choose to opt of children or be more aware what they are actually doing. I certainly have, this life was never meant to be this way but because of the fall it is. Why God has allowed it to last this long, knowing how hard it is to live a right and just life is my question but it is what it is.

To die for God seems little 'effort' compared to endless suffering though. What if someone is so sick, he cannot handle the bright sight, for it hurts the eyes and head? What if the chirping of birds physically hurts the ears and head? And those are just two symptoms of Lyme Disease, which can cause over 35! What if someone does trust and believe, yet gets so tired of waiting? Sees others delivered, but himself not? You know how that feels? Like utter rejection by God. Like indeed you are somehow not good enough to be helped. So finally one does start to magnify ones' own sins, for the message is over and over again, that 'it is not God's fault', so it Must be yours. People are so callous in this respect. So, to the one who wrote that letter: I totally get you and it hurts me to hear about your sufferings! Wish I could help you. Have no answers either in this. Sometimes it just seems so unfair. My comfort lies in looking at Joseph from the Bible, who got so much injustice to endure, just because he wanted to belong to God. How about the first generation of Jewish slaves in Egypt, who didn't see it get better, but worse, also for their (grand)children? In individual cases there is no rhyme and reason, but as a corporate, that body of people had to grow big, before deliverance was seen. We know God is good, but it sure doesn't always feel so from our perspective! Then I think of the many people imprisoned under terrible conditions all over the world (and over time) for sometimes decades! Because they believed in God. Like believers say in China: "How long have you been detained?" "7 years." "Respect!" "And you, how long have you been in prison and labor camps?" "15 years." "Respect!!" But in the West we don't have a theology, that allows for such things. Guess our theology is off! For if your illness makes your body feel like a harsh prison, there is no "Respect!", but weird looks and judgements, that it must be your lack of faith, or your hidden sins, or whatever else but still your own fault. Where the sufferings are quite comparable, but satan seems to use different tools. So perhaps you allow me to say: "I'm so sorry. So sorry, that you hurt that much. So sorry, that you wait so long. So sorry, that you've not been supported but condemned. Please forgive us, for we had no idea how wrong we were." Job's comforters made God angry! Job's suffering was not his fault! Job was the most righteous person on the planet and because of that, satan attacked him so fiercely. And I still have no idea, why God allowed for it. But I do know, that Job has long forgotten all his sufferings as he is dwelling with God in eternity, where all tears are washed away. Yet, his 'comforters', who fiercely accused him, were not pleasing to God at all. And it was Job's prayers for those dumb 'friends', that saved those friends. Not the other way around. May God Himself comfort you, lead you out of your sufferings, heal you soul and body, bless you profoundly and make you a blessing!
@gardenjoy52234 жыл бұрын
@Ty Dear one, no person living on the planet deserves blessings. It's Jesus, who deserved them for us. Yet, some seem to be able to enjoy life a whole lot more than others, who are facing many trials and heartaches. I think it is not good theology to assume that the first were 'better' IN Christ and the last were not good at being IN Christ. The Bible says we are all one IN Christ and that if one member suffers, the whole body does. Sadly, many humans don't look so broad. Our culture is hedonistic, meaning aimed at ones own pleasures. This hedonistic thinking is deeply engraved in most of the western church. So instead of us rushing towards where the problem is, we rather isolate and ignore it, so our own enjoyment isn't endangered and our engagement isn't required. This is pretty stupid and selfish. When we look at our physical bodies, as soon as there occurs a problem somewhere, the whole body works together to set aside this problem. Without any judgement or condemnation. We can learn a lot from the reactions of our physical bodies! But now, on top of our hurts, we are hurt more deeply by the rejection of those, who ought to fight for us and comfort us. I guess, we are trained above and beyond in forgiveness, for they need a lot of it. God IS good. He IS kind. Even if our circumstances seem to deny it, I recommend to myself and all other believers to look at Jesus, Whom endured so much from humanity during His life on earth. Being wrongly accused was his daily experience. When it came to the ultimate injustice, He prayed "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." God seemed to have rejected Him utterly. But He had not. His sacrifice was accepted. Still, the body of Christ has gone through many sufferings in life. Suffering is in no way an exception. You could go to a Bible website, like Biblegateway, and search for the word suffering. Then you will see how many times, also in the New Testament, there is written about our current sufferings. Still my prayer for you is, that your sufferings may be over soon! May God lead you out of them! May His kindness and goodness overwhelm you, body and soul, to bring you restoration. Love from a fellow Christian, who's been through quite a lot too.

@Garden Joy - LOL! There is no heaven, no god, no hell, satan, or jesus. Just because it's written in a book that such things exist does not make it so. What kind of drugs do you do?

Tell me about it. If God even exist at all then how come he hasn't taken out Humanity with Covid and Monkey Pox already. The whole good and evil crap is really getting old since I had already saw some people say that they don't even NEED Us. It's very cumbersome too me really. 🤷

As Jesus said “Not my will, but yours be done”. We are servants of the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last, and yet his adopted sons who he himself will wipe every tear from our eyes and make us inherit the entire earth; an earth without hatred or death, sin or corruption, but of love and kindness out of every being like he intended since the beginning. That is worth suffering for and remember God suffered with us and MUCH more than any other human in existence so that all who give our lives to God will remain with him forever. I’ve been through hard times just like any follower of Christ will have to go through, focus on what God has done for you and promised you to help you endure. It doesn’t matter what we want because the reality is we were created for God will to be done. God knows what’s best for us and anyone against him will have a much worst life in the lake of fire. This is the reality of man’s situation.

God will make you, take you, and break you, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. So suck it up and be grateful.

@@harriedsloth4399 We were already broken, God is the one who fixes us and brakes our chains to worldly lusts and selfishness. Whatever your view on God, your either with him or against him. The world is my inheritance through Jesus and the whole host of heaven as my family, dang right I’m grateful. Don’t let your pride get in the way of an awesome future like that!

Demographers have estimated 117 Billion people have lived on earth. Do you remember any of them. And when you die any that you have remembered and have atomized will be in heaven dancing and flirting with angels for the best seats in the eternal hippodrome.
