I don't think it was a "scrapped opening song", even though it really fits S3P1. It's just that Linked Horizon has numerous songs made by Revo (the leader and main singer. Actually, he is the only true member) that never made it to the show, just because he wanted to make them. He likes the show so much that he decided to create more songs than required. So you can actually listen to some of those, that are... -Nikagetsu-go no Kimi e (To You in 2000 Years), which is like an intro to the Attack on Titan world for the outsiders, this is from the singer's POV, as if he's watching everything that's happening in that world and turning those stories into songs. -11 Moji no Dengon (11-Lettered Message), a song about Eren's mother, and her final wish before her death. -Saigo no Senka (The Last Efforts), a song about the Ilse's Diary OVA, where the protagonist, Ilse, writes about her journey outside of the walls and her meeting with a talking titan. -Souyoku no Hikari (The Light of the Two Wings), a song about Petra, the girl in the previous Levi Squad. It follows up till her death by the Female Titan. -Kanojo wa Tsumetai Hitsugi no Naka de (She Lies in a Cold Coffin), which is about Annie and her reasons for betraying the main cast. -Tasogare no Rakuen (Twillight Paradise), a song about the King Fritz's wish for Paradis to be a safe paradise for the eldians. -Moshi Kono Kabe no Naka ga Ikken no Ie dato Shitara (If The Inside of These Walls Were a House), a song about Armin's and Eren's dream of leaving the walls and exploring the world. -13 no Fuyu (The Thirteen Winters), a song about Mikasa and her feelings of death. It was partially adaptated in the final song of the last movie. -Kami no Miwaza (God's Work), a hymn from the Church of the Walls. This one doesn't tell any story, it's straight up a hymn from a fictional church. -Kakumei no Yoru ni (The Night of the Revolution), this one you reacted to. -Watashi ga Hontou ni Hoshikatta Mono (What I Really Wanted), a song about Ymir Fritz and what was her real desire. Almost all of them are sung from the caracters's POV. They're pretty great, but just because they exist, doesn't mean they're "official" or "canon", or meant to be in the show.
