The specific place in Bethlehem where the manger was located, was in a field where the official ceremonial sacrificial lambs were raised. His life literally began as a living sacrificial lamb. His story from beginning to end is so rich with mind blowing detail. Hallelujah.

Meaning when and if we face the Antichrist himself within our lifetime, the only matter at hand that is important is to not speak opinions or call out Satan, but to simply stay quiet and let the Lord speak through you.. in other words only Faith is what is needed and lies within it true salvation. Plain and simple, inside your head, not a word spoken. FAITH.

Jesus- the Bread of Life was laid in a feeding trough... That's amazing. He was cleaned as sacrifices were because He Alone is The Perfect Unblemished Sacrifice to take away the sins of the world...
@amypayne55344 жыл бұрын
I have also heard that the sacrificial spotless lambs were sometimes placed in the mangers by shepherds for protection from predators at that time. Undoubtedly that would have had significant meaning to the shepherds as well and would have helped them to recognize the infant as the sacrificial Lamb of God who would take away the sins of the world, the promised Messiah.

The sacrificial lambs were tenderly wrapped in swaddling clothes and kept clean for the temple sacrifice ..the temple priests undergarments were used as swaddling clothing and not discarded.
@wildernessofzinn175 жыл бұрын
Don't you all know what this manger was?. It is certainly not the Catholic tourist "Church of the Nativity". Many may not be familiar of what once stood in Bethlehem. This was not just any animal stall as many erroneously state. Jesus was born in a special place...the Migdal Edar. In Bethlehem at that time, there stood a tower just on the outskirts of town. These types of towers were used in those days to watch for attack, armies advancing, predators after sheep, etc. This tower was used as a military tower at one time, but also to "watch over the flocks by night". The flocks the shepherds watched over were not just any flocks, they were the sheep used in the Temple sacrifices. In the bottom of this tower, the Migdal Edar, is where the new lambs were birthed and wrapped (or swaddled). These lambs were the choicest to be used as Passover Lambs in the Temple. Well, when the shepherds were told they would find the child lying in a manger and wrapped in swaddling, they knew right where to go. The Migdol Eder. Who is the ultimate Passover Lamb but ur Savior?. When John the Baptist said, "Behold, the Lamb of God", this was probably well-known among the people around Bethlehem (John 1:29). The Migdal Edar is even mentioned in Micah 4:8 as the Tower of the Flock. It is also mentioned in Genesis 35:21 as reference to Rachel's burial place. Jesus was not born in some random animal stall. He was born at the birthing place where the sacrificial lambs were born that were used for Temple sacrifices. The shepherds that saw the Angel of the Lord and Jesus were the shepherds that tended this special flock. The angel told the shepherds that there would be a SIGN unto them: swaddling clothes and a manger. When they heard this regarding the Savior being born in Bethlehem, as Micah had foretold, they knew right where to go.
@victoriahart16305 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment! I will add that Bethlehem was known as David's city, and David was a shepherd before he became a king. So it's likely that the area you mentioned -- the Migdal Edar -- was the same area David had tended his sheep -- a vital key in identifying the Messiah's birthplace.

@@victoriahart1630 it was actually David's Ancestral land which he dedicated to GOD for the raising of animals that would be needed when the Temple was built. One key piece missing is that the shepherds were levitical and their primary job to raise unblemished lambs for the temple sacrifice. And that the cave / stable / manger may have actually been the location where the shephered would go to help give birth to new lambs whom they wrapped in swaddling clothes so that they would not harm themselves (blemish).
@victoriahart16305 жыл бұрын
I was hoping someone would mention this. Thank you! You wrote that the Shepherds were levitical. Could you please show me where I can research this for myself? I will also add that the city of Bethlehem was David's city, and he was a shepherd before being a king. This area and the work of shepherding is important in identifying Yeshua hamashiach as the authentic Christ child. At that time, shepherds were scorned/looked down upon and not allowed to attend Temple because they occasionally handled the bodies of dead animals and were thus considered filthy/unclean; handling dead bodies was against Jewish law. That's why it is so unusual that the shepherds were the first people told of the child's birth.
