Veer Savarkar was such a role model, who, despite being a Brahmin, rejected caste discrimination, embraced Dalits and even founded a temple for them, espoused Hindu unity, and denounced and shunned religiosity. He was a staunch nationalist but a strong atheist, who was misinterpreted by the political pimps for their vote bank politics. He was the most rational figure who understood the real enemy of the Hindu civilization, which was not the Britishers in all likelihood. Alas! the speaker is a MKG fanatic who compares a Braveheart to a British stooge. After his transfering to mainland in 1921, he was imprisoned until 1924 and was under house arrest till 1937. He was not allowed to move out from Ratngiri. By 1937 the situation was completely changed. It was very much clear that India will get freedom which was only delayed due to break of 2nd world war. By this time Legislative assembly elections took place and Congress formed Government in 7 provincials. There was no need for arm revolution. Very rightly and intelligently/wisely he joined in democratic process of elections through political party. And he also started the need of the hour "eradication of untouchabilty" which he senses much earlier than anyone else which will become main obstacle in future to become the great nation
