I'm from the Philippines and I've seen some lean muscled type guys here who are carpenters, fishermen, etc. - they're not bulky like arnold but have a lean muscled physique. the guy on the video otoh is wiry thin & I've seen plenty of those to but we never descrive them as muscly. The life expectancy back then was short due to accidents, sickness/diseases, or war not because they were necessarily less healthy. hunter gatherers especially were usually in top physical condition & girls back then started their periods late around 18-19 unlike today where some even start at 9 years of age. so there are plenty of examples of people in todays world, not in frts world countries, who are farmers, fishermen, or who have to toil daily that you can use as examples of how life must've been for some people

As an Irishman who knows of our ancestral religious methods, of over two thousand years. Our ancestors used Stonehenge, and Hill Tops for Sacrifice in order to create alignment with the ancient gods, the god of light, the god of prosperity, and the god of peace. As with all ancient religions there is a blood sacrifice that must suffice the gods.

Maybe he was a vicious warrior that was defending the territory and his entire tribe is wiped out and he went into the center of the stone henge because it is the most important venue of his tribe and make his final standoff against the enemy, maybe he fought for several hours of melee combat killing many of his foes and the enemy realizing they could not defeat him this way, they finally decided to kill him using bow and arrows.

my 2 cents . He was a famous war chief and the druids who truly ran the isle at the time thought of him as a threat. They "got a vision" he needed to be sacrificed so they did. Ireland as almost always ben controled by religion .

Couldn't have been the druids because the way he died signifies it had to be for a different reason besides religious reasons. The druids didn't sacrifice people by shooting them with arrows. Also if the Stonehenge was a place the druids would occasionally make sacrifices at. Most likely there would not have been more than only one persons remains found in or around the Stonehenge area. Also one would have to look at what the druids sacrifices consisted of you cannot simply say it was a sacrifice with no evidence. I never heard of sacrifices carried out with arrows i would imagine the druids would have been much more gruesome.
@anniesearle61816 жыл бұрын
Well, I would have to agree with you, however, your entire argument is wrong. The druids didn't actually conduct this sacrifice because they didn't exist yet; the earliest this man could have died was on the stone-age/bronze age border and the latest about 200 years after that, so it was another culture entirely. There have also been many other sets of remains found at Stonehenge. What the video said was there aren't any other bodies of this 'type', as in sacrificed like this. There are over 50 other sets of cremated remains found in the post-holes of the original stone formation, this includes men, women and children, so it is possible they were sacrificed or possibly not, we'll never know.
