Why Was Venom So Scared of Carnage?

We all saw the Venom trailer. We are waiting for Venom 2: Let There be Carnage. But, one thing was obvious, that Venom was scared of Carnage. So, why did that happen? Is it because Carnage is more powerful than Venom? Or something else?

Yes, Carnage is the offspring to Venom. And some sources of information state that the Symbiote's offspring is severely stronger than their parent. In the comics, Venom sometimes had to team up with others (mostly Spider-Man) to take Carnage down.

Carnage in the comics has a much stronger bond to Cletus than Eddie and Venom due to the method, and Cletus was its first host. The movie nerfed the bond for plot reasons, but even then Carnage was shown to be *significantly stronger* than Venom AND Spiderman.

I think it’s carnage’s abilities that made him cautious, see venom is more brute strength and although he can stretch his body to attack, Carnage’s body is way more fluid, he can shift his body shape to whatever he wants and he can make both projectiles and actual weapons. Not to mention he’s his spawn making him stronger than Venom, the reason why he won was because Cletus resisted in the end and Shriek helped making noise

Carnage is Venom's offspring, in the comics it was stated that each generation of symbiote was stronger than the previous one. And since Venom's offspring is Carnage, he'd obviously hesitate. Also, red symbiotes are natural born hunters and are a lot more aggressive in the symbiote planet. Combine these two with the fact that Carnage bonded with a serial killer, and the result is pretty terrifying. Also, Carnage has bonded with Cassidy on a cellular level, he is literally infused with his blood. So even if you somehow seperate the two, they will still become Carnage. Edit: There are also alternative Carnage versions that have a different reason as to why they are red, specifically the symbiote infusing with Casady's blood cells, thus turning red. But that's not the case for the movie as Venom already knows what the red color means the second he sees Carnage.

Then when it shows the death serum getting injected into Cassidy, that piece of venom fuses with the death serum causing carnage to fuse with Cassidy’s bloodline. And that’s also why carnage can split open whilst getting shot at instead of showing Cassidy’s body, because his blood is fused with carnage.

My biggest problem with the movie is that they don't understand Carnage. I realized this when Venom said that Carnage wasn't truly symbiotic, but that's the point of Carnage, that him and Cletus have a much, much stronger relationship than Venom, and that's what makes him so deadly, and stronger than Venom. Cletus and the symbiote are both insane psychopaths and the symbiote is even in his bloodstream, so they are even physically more attached, to the point where Cletus doesn't even really have a body anymore, and can manipulate himself at will. It just really annoyed me to give Venom an excuse to beat him.

Being the symbiote offspring and fully hosting a very insane criminal, Venom is quite strong in his own right that give Spider Man a run for the money, but Carnage puts everything of it on steroids and he is deluded and evil. Kassidy in symbiote form is one of the very deadliest villains in Spider Man. Look how difficult it is for Parker to face him in the 1994 TV series!

One little mistake i found is that you said “carnage is more resilient to separation with its host” when actually the opposite is true. Because carnage is actually fused with his host on the cellular level, being separated actually severely weakens both of them.

Sorry but that's false, red means the symbiote is an offspring, aka a child. So it's very dangerous and its only instinct is to kill... Being a predator and all that. Because of it being young it has wild capabilities to use its body like no other symbiote. That's why it had crazy amounts of weapons, even being able to fire parts of itself off. Offsprings are always stronger than the parent, so venom being an adult knows it could have come from any parent, venom is considered weak among other symbiotes. So whoever it's parent is, means it's 3x or more stronger than venom. Btw it's parent is venom, so it's only twice as strong as him. But venom doesn't know this yet, as seen from his reaction
