Why we changed our brand name from AWRA LONDON to HĀNM

It's a farewell from AWRA LONDON. It's been emotional.
We have now changed our brand name from AWRA to HĀNM.
Thank you to everyone for your loyal support and custom over the years.
Hanimlar, here we come!
** UPDATE ** Our team have decided to rename this KZbin channel to HĀNM instead, as we feel it will be easier for our current subscribers. Therefore, we have had to remove the majority of our videos due to branding purposes. We will have new uploads of collections.

I have been getting your promotion emails for years and loved Awra, shame some people felt offended by a 4 letter word how silly. I was looking for a hijab to take on my summer holiday and was like what happened to awra?why am I seeing hanm? Any adult would've connected awra and the maxi hijabs and carry on with life. What I find disgusting is the mannerism of some people which goes against Islam. She could have just advised you privately if she actually had good intentions. Your quality and designs are superb and you are a high end brand that cares about quality which is so obvious and something that majority of modest wear companies are really missing. I find that most modest companies are really praying on the lack of modest wear to sell low quality overpriced polyester fabrics without option to return unwanted products. Do not be sad. I’m not Arab, but as a muslimah I always knew what awra refers to in the Islamic sense BUT when I originally saw that name I assumed it was because the hijabs cover us and I thought it was a beautiful and clever name. I don't leave comment usually but I had to write this one, I'm Arab and when I discovered your brand, I understood instantly that it's a hijab brand because AWRA is all the woman body except for her face and hands so it's normal that a brand selling very covering scrafs is named AWRA as a reference to what Muslim woman should hide in their bodies. It takes a strong and lovely person to put others first and as a result you changed your brand name.
