I went through the same process in 2016 and ended up with the exact same model tractor. I got a number of implements, including the kioti backhoe (post hole auger, box blade, scraper blade, brush hog, log splitter, wood chipper, forklift forks, front 3 point attach connection, etc). I have put 800 hours on the tractor already, and its been phenominal. I did have 1 major self induced problem, I pumped a tank of fuel from the bottom of a 55 gallon drum, the fuel was badly contaminated with water and debris. It ended up needing the entire fuel system replaced at what would have been a cost of $5000! The dealer got together with Kioti, and Kioti and the dealer agreed to cover the entire amount under warranty as a customer service gesture! That is some real customer service! That is the only issue I have had with the tractor and I have used it HARD! I had the rear wheels balasted with beet juice at purchase, and I would highly recommend that. When my fuel system was in for warranty work, I got a brand new Mahindra that was 1 size up from the kioti as a free loaner (I lucked out with a top quality local dealer). The Mahindra didnt have ballasted tires, and I had the back end lift up on me and become very unstable a number of times. I was glad when I got the Kioti back for a handful of reasons. I certainly would recommend the ck3510 as a great tractor for those with 5-20 acres.

I was chuckling to myself watching this video. My situation is exactly the same as yours was. Wasn't looking at Kioti, didn't want the bucket joystick on the bucket arm, wanted to pedals, found out about the SE model by the salesman almost accidentally, even the small acreage thinking about buying more in the future. This video actually helped me a lot. Thanks.

Good video. Have had my CK3510HST for almost 3 years now. It has 125+ hours on it now. Bought it before starting to build my pole barn on our 6+ acres. Use it for driveway maintenance, dirt work, snow removal, firewood and much more. Have a finish mower and a bush hog. Added the kioti backhoe last summer. Man is that handy to have available. I looked at how much we were spending on renting a tractor regularly against how much more we would use one if it was there all the time. I love my tractor and think you made a great choice!

@Dwayne - Now that it's been 4 years or so, still happy with the Kioti? Do you use your backhoe enough to make it worth while? I have a list of projects that could use a backhoe, but I'm afraid I'd get those all done in the first several months and then it would just sit for years.

Purple Collar Life 4 years this month and getting ready to do the 250 hour service. I just told my son today that I have never regretted buying my tractor. It is a real workhorse. It makes life easier. Lifting and moving. Driveway grading (steep drive). I don’t use it for mowing much as I have a zero turn. I have put in a lot of posts this year building decks. Backhoe is a big investment but to me it is worth having it available. Building our house I trenched in both water and electric lines. That saved us a bunch of $. I don’t use it weekly but it is surprising how many jobs there are for it. Even my wife admits now that it was a good investment. Only thing I have done to it is routine maintenance and grease the loader and hoe. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck tractor shopping.

@@dwaynemetcalf6389 Thanks. Is the backhoe hard to get on and off? Does it require the long support pieces under the tractor that go front-to-back? I do have more questions, but I don't want to hijack the comments on here. Can you go to my channel and message me?

The tractor doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it works for me. 55 hp and 49.9 hp at the pto. starts when it is 0 F. I got the shuttle shift because that what I Like and cost me less then $ 25000. very happy camper

Excellent review. I use a Kubota L3200 now and the CK3510SE seems to be quite the upgrade from that. Better lift capacity and easier foot pedal configuration among other things makes for a very nice tractor for less money than the L3301.

You made a good choice. I've owned a DK45se since 2014 and in the five years since it's had only one minor problem. I love the Kioti brand so much I recently bought a second one, an rx7320p. I think Kiotis have way better quality than Deere (and no plastic hoods!) at a much lower price. Better quality for less money, that's my idea of a good deal.

I have the same tractor (135 hours now). I owned a JD and a Kubota in the past. This Kioti is a real surprise! This rig has been bullet proof so far. I love everything about it so far. The backhoe is way more powerful that I expected. I still struggle to get the hoe on and off but I've always had it sitting on uneven terrain. I suspect that it would be far easier if I had it sitting on a somewhat level surface.

We were looking at a Rural King RK37 but eventually went with a used New Holland TC33D. Figured better to pay cash then finance. If you ever intend to move a round bale, you will be glad you went with the 35 HP. The first bales we got, the tractor lifts with no problem. The second bales we bought, it is all I can do at full throttle to get them off the ground enough to move them. Good choice on the Kioti.

Thanks very much for sharing. I have the Kioti CK2510 HST. I will be going into the third season with the machine and am very happy with its performance. I have a lift of about 1100-1200 pounds, works fine for me. I maintain a 43 acre farm with that machine and as you could imagine through the growing months I am on that machine all day. It took some time to adjust to the rocker pedal but to be frank I don't think the platform would offer enough room for a side by side pedal. One thing I will share with anyone interested in this machine is it does have quite a bit of power. Speed as well when you need to finish cut before it gets hot. It's worth noting however you will need to drop into the low gear and go into 4 wheel drive to overcome any hills. I found that out quick. Upon receiving the machine I had a problem with the roll-over bar lining up and pinning when fully engaged. My dealer swapped out the entire bar. And as with any tractor I struggle on the back end with the PTO when swapping out implements. I did find a product out there that mates them quickly....I'll order come spring. Best of luck.

Regarding your thoughts on which mount to use for the snowblower, I also had something of an epiphany with the mounting types of mowers. Originally, I was fixated on a mid mount mower deck which has its pros and cons like anything, but someone recommended I take a look at rear mounted finish mowers. Holy cow, those seem nice. Granted there are considerations about handling and storage length, but it'd be SO much easier to swap belts on and extract blades for sharpening.

If you have neck, back or other issues making driving backwards for prolonged periods problematic, front mounts are great. But the front mounts I have seen, themselves cost as much as a second pull behind snowblower...... For a subcompact, pull behinds are kind of pointless, but once you have the weight and ground clearance to drive through a foot of snow, like a CK, they are mostly even nicer than a front mount. Especially on an open station tractor, where a front mount, like a rear mount standard blower, will have you driving through the snow fog you create. With a pull behind, it's all behind you.... Pull behinds also have the advantage of "tripping" more naturally, if you should hit a buried obstacle. They'll bend forward, and "may" (don't try this...) end up riding up and clearing the obstacle that way. Whereas a front mount, is more likely to tuck under and get badly bent. Tractors are primarily designed for pulling implements behind them, after all. Not push them in front. Point being, while front mounts are nice, especially with a cab tractor which doesn't need the loader for the winter;if you can tolerate driving backwards those few times (in most places) when the snow isn't over a foot deep before you get to it, you may actually save money by buying two snowblowers instead of one blower and one front mount hitch.... And then there's the "two is one and one is none" consideration, in case your auger gets tangled up in a particularly nasty coil of steel wire or something like that, and you need to get to work....

Don't forget the significance of depreciation and parts/maintenance/repair support and get suckered by a lower purchase price. What you save buying cheaper brands will get eaten up by higher maintenance and depreciation and the hassle of dealer with a smaller dealer network. Pay the extra $$ upfront and enjoy the better quality and reliability over the long haul.

I do know that it does have something to do with hydraulic pumps and cylinder size and flow and blah blah..... :) I also know that the overall weight of the tractor combined with counter weight in the rear-end will also affect the lift capacity of what you can safely lift. But, beyond that, I really don't know. What I do know is that when you compare spec to spec, you'll find that the Kioti (at least when I was doing my research) has the best advertised lift capacity in this class. I did my best to compare apples to apples. But, I may have missed something. Having said that, I've not had any need to come close to the max weights.

No regrets. Not a single one. The only issue I had is that when it got dropped off the hour meter wasn't working. And it did take my dealer a bit to fix that. But, that was more a communication issue within the dealership that the owner profusely apologized for when he was made aware of it. I would buy this tractor again in a heartbeat!!!

All of the things you mention as up-charges are also up-charges on the CK3510. They were standard because you stepped up to the SE version. That's like complaining that a contractor XL model has fewer standard features than a King Ranch.
@TheHomesteadJourney
@TheHomesteadJourney 2 жыл бұрын
I understand the SE versus base model. At the time I purchased mine, they didn't offer the SE In the 2610. Had they had that as an option when I bought my tractor, I probably would have gone that route to avoid DPF. The lack of the SE at the 2610 model at that time was really the basis for my complaints.

From one "non-tractor" guy to another, thank you for posting this! I'm currently looking at this exact model and your down-to-earth review is exactly what I needed to see. I should make a detailed update video. A concise response is that I have no regrets buying this tractor. There are certain features that I have found I really don't care about, but overall, this tractor has been solid. My only regret is my dealer. Given the opportunity to buy again, I would have bought elsewhere. I had options for Kioti dealerships and against the advice I was given and my "gut feeling" I went one direction. I wish I had gone the other. I CANNOT stress enough how important that dealership relationship is.

@@TheHomesteadJourney thanks so much for taking the time to reply! Yes, I agree the dealer relationship is very important. Unfortunately I don't have many options where I live, but I'm hoping that will change as the brand continues to grow. However, I have heard many great things about one of the dealers in the area, so I plan on starting there. Great to hear you are still pleased with the tractor overall (for the most part). Looking forward to seeing a video about that if you do get around to it!

Dude, there is no way that loader will lift 1800 lbs., Maybe the break out force which is not the lifting capacity . For accurate real lifting capacity it is 500mm forward of your pin, not at the pin. 1800 lbs would topple that tractor for one thing.
@TheHomesteadJourney
@TheHomesteadJourney 5 жыл бұрын
You're right. It won't lift 1800 lbs. It will actually lift 1930 lbs to full height. The weight of this tractor is 3000 lbs w/o loaded tires. My tires are loaded. Now, to raise the full 1930 lbs to full height, it would probably be best to have some weight on the back end. But, those are the specs that can be found here: www.fischermillsupply.com/siteart/kioti-tractors/brochures/CK10SE-Series.pdf

@@TheHomesteadJourney Again, you are believing the inaccurate representation (lie) of the manufacturer's lifting capacity. On their web site they state that the lifting capacity is 1900lbs. AT THE PINS. Who lifts at the pins?They do not give a rating of the lift capacity at the center of the bucket and lifting to 1.5M. Since they are deliberately deceiving people by have them believe that it lifts more than it does in the real world, that is plenty enough reason for me to run as fast as I can from the Kioti brand. Take the pin spec and subtract 30%, then subtract the weight of the bucket or forks, then you will be close to what that machine can actually do. The tractor may still do what you need and in that case it is still a good fit for you. You just did not buy as much tractor as they led you to believe that you were buying. I just hope that others reading these comments will understand the difference of lifting capacity at the pins vs. the real world lifting capacity of bucket center and raising to 1.5M when making a decision to buy a tractor.

@kbwfgg6400
@kbwfgg6400 5 жыл бұрын
@@TheHomesteadJourney I don't work for any brand. This is just what I discovered while doing my research on tractors. Just google tractor loader specs, what they mean and how do they come up with those specs. The pin spec was contrived by tractor companies as a way to inflate their ratings. The more reputable companies had to adopt that spec so that people could compare apples to apples but they still give the center of bucket to 1.5M high spec which is the one that means anything. Just look at how other companies rate their loader capacity, you will usually see both specs. The center of bucket (500mm) to 1.5M height is just about 30% lower than the pin spec. But then you have the weight of the bucket or forks as part of your load. I don't want you to feel bad about your tractor, a lot of people like them. It is just that people show know the truth behind the specs and which specs are actually useful. One source is a youtube by Messick's, he gives a really good explanation about these loader specs.

@@TheHomesteadJourney Sometimes I get responses like that too. It is simple, if there's something I discovered through many hours of research and followed by a very positive owner experience, then I like to share that with others. The real problem is that so many people can't be trusted to give an honest and unbiased opinion because there's some kind of benefit or perk for a positive review. As far as the verbiage the commenter spoke about goes, if anyone digs deep and does a great deal of research about ANY TOPIC, you eventually will begin to use the same terminology because of knowing the product so well. So I have learned to not get overly detoured by responding to those who cast accusations. State the facts respectfully in a reply and move on. They may bring up an argument with some valid points but readers or viewers who have developed a critical thinking mentality 🤔 can decern when someone is being honest or simply wanting to complain.🙄 So I thank you👏 for the insight you presented in your video and also appreciate your response to someone challenging your reason for making such a video. 👍
