Why we do not use Auto-Transformer instead of Two Winding Transformer for Transmission ?

Actually we use single winding transformer in the transmission, only if the transformation ratio i.e., ratio of Low voltage to high voltage side is always greater than 0.5... if we use the single winding transformer for the values lessthan 0.5 the power transfer capability decreases drastically means "High losses"... So for the transformation ratio values greater than 0.5, we single winding transformer practically...

Sir transmission mei auto hi use hota hai , if ratio less than 2 then auto , otherwise 2 windiing, From 400/220 auto 220/132 auto, These 2 cover the 80% of power transmission 132/33 2 windiing
