After a 10 years marriage ended, I have been living in complete isolation for the last 3 years. I sold my California home in 2019 when i realized that more people were moving into the big city. Seems that way doesn't it? I have a hunch about this (could be wrong of course). I've given this a lot of thought, like how do they happily live and play together for 7 years, get married, have two children and less than a year after child #2, it's over? Two things come to mind: 1. It's not uncommon for a spouse (wife or hubby) to lose interest in their partner after children come into the picture. Janni is clearly devoted to her children. In the early years, I used to think Jon was a bit of a child in a man body himself, often wanting approval/attention for things he had done. Janni was able to provide that until ALL her time was taken with two little ones. I think any physical/emotional attention/connection Jon wanted from her became a huge turn off to her because she was/is already giving it all to these kids. It's quite the balancing act to be there for your children and still foster/support a loving, nurturing and affectionate connection with one's spouse. ANDDDDDDD 2. Janni might be an emotional chip off her dad's block: that is, she might find it difficult to commit to one person in this life. Rickard has never hidden the fact that giving himself fully to work and ambitions cost him his marriage many years ago. Now it's been a string of girlfriends (I think, not 100% sure of that). Janni just might not have what it takes to be committed to one person. She is very image driven(Instagram and now her KZbin channel which was not a big focus many years ago) and those accounts are VERY important to her. In some ways, I think she's a Kardashian wannabe (for Sweden). She's already had filler work done at a very young age (glamour shots) and maybe, just maybe, juggling two kids and her Instagram/YT accounts and C'est Normal work AND a semi hyper/super busy hubby is just more than she can handle?

@Al kis and kaz Kin: it's been 4 months now since the announcement. I thought about it a lot then, and I still think about it now because we've hardly heard a peep out of Jon who must just still be in shellshock. But Janni has been making videos almost since the announcement... lots and lots of videos and she doesn't look like she's going through any grieving at all. About the narcissist comment: I'm quite intrigued because the thought has crossed my mind as well. I've been watching Jon's videos since Marcus came on board (almost 7 years ago!), and I always noticed that there were times when they were on the boat with her father where if Jon did something silly with her in the water she would get furious with him. And one time I remember they went to a gym and they were throwing one of those big medicine balls back and forth and she somehow didn't catch it well and she starting yelling expletives at him. I remembered thinking that's a flag( not the anger or irritation which is totally normal but just sort of this rage). What I find most suspicious is that she quickly has two children with Jon AFTER getting married (child support) but she waits until they develop several businesses (his hugely successful Douche Bags line and their C'est Normal line), buy the Lombok property and build that house, sell the house in Spain (that was going to be a lot of money), she waits until they buy property in Cypress, and she waits until they have this huge property in Sweden and THEN she decides she wants a divorce. This means big alimony, big child support, and BIG division of assets. Part of me really doesn't want to believe this is true but I still find it very suspicious. When I look at pictures of Janni and the way she styles herself for these glamour shots, she just totally reminds me of a Kardashian wannabe. I don't really know how you can't be incredibly self-centered when your entire Instagram account consists of nothing more than you being photographed in outfits. That focus is just me, me, me. So yeah while there's part of me that doesn't want to believe that any of this is true, I still find so much of this so suspicious. They were together how long before the got married? Like 6 years! And only 4 years after being married, she suddenly wants a divorce. It just doesn't add up. I can't even imagine how blindsided he must have been when she told him. One other thought I've had is that Jon is older and he's had a history of back problems and who knows maybe she's just scared of what the future might hold if it develops into anything more serious.

Love is the hardest and most difficult thing to deal with in life, its all big ups and big downs. And when it fails....its the worst hurt you can feel, because it was your all...and it wasn't enough. That's the hardest part of it and going on 8 years with my wife.....Its one of my biggest fears, she wakes up one day and just isn't happy with us. In fairness to them, the kids have a better then 99% start in life and if they really do work with each other then the kids are better off then 99.999% of split parent families. Been watching Jon's videos for over 5 years now and there were little flags along the way. Even though I think she genuinely was invested in the relationship, in some respects, I got the feeling that he was a means to an end...like maybe she was even unconsciously using him. She has her own money but it didn't hurt having a house in Marbella that he owned or an apartment in Monaco again that he owned. I think it all served her very well. And maybe on some level she thought she could make a life with him but I just have the funniest feeling that she was never really in it 100%. I think the age difference didn't help but in the end, intuitively, I just get the feeling that she only had so much to give emotionally and with the two children now being her number one priority I just don't think she has the emotional capacity for both the children AND for a committed relationship to Jon and that's why she got out/couldn't stay the course. Giving to two children, being there for two children probably just brought it to the front in a way that she could no longer ignore.

@mod: Wow! Talk about putting it incredibly succinctly! It also perfectly describes the narcissist (discard phase)! I used to save all of my favorite Jon videos to watch because they made me feel so good but now I can't even watch them anymore. I am just so sad for him and what he thought he was building for the life ahead of them to just have it dashed. But I will say this: whenever Jon did kind of a Q&A about their relationship and was asked what attracted him to Janni, the very first thing he always talked about was how beautiful she was. So I don't think he himself was careful to really focus on finding a person of substance who shared the same values that he did. She obviously wanted children and he did too so they had that in common but again I really think he was very focused on how beautiful she was and he also loved the fact that she was totally comfortable with him going off on his adventures with his guy pals which was very attractive to him as well. Unfortunately, still not locked in on the qualities like kindness, compassion and genuine desire to help others which are to me the most attractive qualities in another human. Can only wish him well and hope that he finds someone more like his brother's wife Maria.

Im going to pretend that I am a relationship analyst and give my take on this. This guys lived their 11 year relationship in a constant vacation/honey moon mode, always surrounded by friends and with exciting things to do. Its easy being in a relationship like that, imagine like getting married and being in a constant honeymoon. When covid hit and two babies came, they for the first time had to really pass time together, doing mundane stuff like most of the people do. And that is the time when you really meet your partner. Doing boring stuff, normal day to day life, routine , etc They just REALLY start to know each other has a couple the last couple of years. Guys, she was 19 and she committed to him and his way of life. She has never experienced adulthood without him that's crushing in so many ways, add children to the mix and you realise your life is not yours anymore it's about supporting a man and raising children. I get her, this is freedom in so many ways that can never be satiated in a marriage. When I first divorced I was obsessed with spending time with them, and they were always obstacles. Once I let them go, they invite me for visits and on trips. I even "reconciled" with my ex but still not live together, lesson learned. When they have you, they do not appreciate you, they have to know you can walk away and as crazy as it may sound, sometimes I just disappear for a few weeks so they know what is like without me. Law of Power 16, it is manipulative but it works. And in the end, see my kids grow is what I want. Crazy though, it is hard not to care.

To be honest, the first time I saw your video back in maybe 2019 or something, I could already tell you were into Janni more than she was into you. After hearing about you guys' story on how Jon first met Janni and how you chased her pretty much confirmed it. Thought things would change over time but clearly this isn't the case...To me, Janni is just more mature overall and sometimes I felt like you guys aren't on the same page on many subjects and beliefs.
