9:10 Lee saying that and Gary cosigning with the Sanford Kelly line reminds me of this one time (Evo?) where Filipino Champ, probably the most infamous UMvC3 player for a variety of reasons, picks Dark Phoenix, the crowd _loudly_ boos, then F.Champ just grins, and does the "Yeah, that's right. Give it to me!" motion with his arms as his opponent is finalizing his team. Also, 11:04 with Gary saying that it's game over if you fuck-up your Anti-Phoenix Tech(TM), I really felt that one. I play Spider-Man. He was one of the few characters that had Anti-Phoenix Tech(TM) in _Vanilla_ MvC3 (X-Factor > Ultimate Web Throw for the curious). I actually had a chance to put my new knowledge to the test, right? Landed an Air Combo, Phoenix pops, _I mistime the X-Factor,_ Phoenix then proceeds to sodomize me with a sadistic smile on her face. I'm still haunted by that. I'm not a good player by any means, but still, it would've been one my greatest victories.

The only mistake Capcom made with Phoenix is they didn’t give Akuma a Level 5 Shin Akuma mode just like Dark Phoenix where Akuma gets back up and challenge you with his full power. There should’ve been two characters in the game, one on each side, that had that type of Level 5 move.

If you do a "Why we hate zero". My reason is the amount of time I have spent in-matches learning Zero just to learn 1 of if not the hardest character in UMVC3 that is my reason. I decided to learn not just him but Dante and Virgil (ZMC!) out of sheer spite against my friend just to finally get a win on him in this game. Don't get me wrong he is a great character, but OMG the amount of time I've put into just him, i felt i could have learned 3-5 more teams then just him. Great video I love your content keep it up!

I think the thing that I hate about her the most isn't entirely her fault, but with the advancement of TAC infinites in the meta, the entire risk/reward factor with her is gone. With her on anchor, you used to have to carefully consider if you wanted to cash out with the meter you have to ensure a kill, or save that meter in case you start getting bodied so you can pop Dark Phoenix. Now that line of thinking is completely gone because you can just do a TAC infinite with any of the most popular Phoenix teams to ensure a kill without spending the meter. TAC infinites overtaking the meta turned the smallest redeeming and interesting factor of her install into something players don't even consider anymore.

When you do the Zero episode, I desperately hope one point is dedicated to hating on ZMC. Normally, I just roll my eyes at people sticking to the top tier, but ZMC is so labbed out, so well known that there's nothing new to see. Why I binned UMvC3. Capcom denied me Venom, Talbain and Cyclops. Then the character I was excited for the most, Phoenix (huge fan of the Marvel character n lore), ended up as this insanely batshit designed cesspool that was so mechanically toxic that the entire community had to rally against. Played her, loved her, realized how awful she was for the game. Got demoralized and quit. Fuck Phoenix (Capcom).

@@IHeartJustice yeah, but Kliff is still not top tier or anything. Kliff has the highest damage in Plus r but he’s so slow and fragile that being able to kill off burst is not a terribly huge deal, just something to look out for when you’re fighting him. Kliff mu’s are honestly just 2 touch competitions anyways.
