This is absolutely one of my favourite channels because I dont see ANYONE cover Moral Orel. And to find a channel that covers one of my favourite shows bcs of how good it is feels like I'm getting free candy, I rewatch these videos so often bcs they're so great.

I think its so insane that "moral orel is too dark!" Was the reason they canceled it when people's skin literally melted off in robot chicken

I think it was more that it was the wrong kind of dark. Robot chicken never depicted tragedy as anything other then comedic, whereas the Morel Orel episode "Alone" touched on some seriously heavy real world themes like r ape and trauma. With no comedy at all to offset the darkness. It can certainly be argued that those are discussions that SHOULD be had.but Adult Swim is a comedy channel. I can certainly see where their concerns were stemming from.

As I understand it, it's not so much that it got too _dark,_ it's that it got _sad._ Like, really, really, _really, genuinely tragic._ I've heard it suggested that some of the executives grew to honestly _love_ Orel so much that they _couldn't bear to watch_ the sheer _Hell_ that "Alone" implied he'd have to go through over the course of the full-length series.

I’m happy I found this channel. I hadn’t watched all of amoral Orel but the episodes I had seen I enjoyed, even the darker ones. Maybe one day we can see a revival of it in the future. Hope your channel continues to grow!

i am really glad that you are talking about, or even giving a glance at Moral Orel! your amount of detail and analysis you bring upon this show’s storyline and characters is just so god damn good. i eat this up like food man. it’s great that people are finally giving the attention this show deserves. i really love videos that pick the media one by one in it’s most minuscule form in analysis, it’s really a labor of love and i’m all for it! i love knowing new things of media i don’t really give a second glance at in its deeper meaning. so these are really informative as well, i never knew Bloberta made Clay drink because that was the one thing that made her father really comfort her in her time of need for example. i just really appreciate the content so so much, looking forward to your upcoming videos!

I wholeheartedly enjoyed this series; it’s honestly one of the best animated series I’d ever seen. Unfortunately, I didn’t pay attention to it when it was on AS-a painful regret-but better late than never. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will get a reboot some time in the near future. It would be criminal not to.

Dumb is super underrated. I have heard a few people call it the weakest episode of season three, but I disagree. Especially after Alone, it has a lot of punch. And thank you!!

Agreed! "Dumb" definitely got to me because the ending was one of what felt like the few sweetest moments of season 3 for me. A small light in a such a dark show. It's definitely one of my favorites.

I finally finished watching the entire show a couple of months ago. I remember when it first came out it was funny and had a shock factor that made it great. Later it became real and scary when everything unfolds. My favorite moment, and this made me teary eyed, the final scene of Orel and Christina married with kids. I was thinking “Orel went through absolute hell and betrayal and I am so glad he got a happy ending in the show”. I feel like Moral Orel is almost like The Truman Show to Orel especially after watching the “Before Orel” special. I love this show and I wish it was brought back in some way.

Literally just finished my first watch through of the original 3 seasons of this show, and I'm very happy to see content diving deep into it because there's so much to talk about with it. So, no complaints here other than having to wait for those videos. 🤣 Also, it's ironic that you bring up "Mr.Pickles" because I started watching "Moral Orel" in-between binging that show. I'm curious to see why you like "Drawn Together" which is arguably kind of a similar tone to "Mr.Pickles", so I'll definitely be checking out more of your content. I am an older Adult Swim. I grew up with Davey and Goliath. I was Episcopal, but Davey and Goliath was pretty compatible. Fast Forward a few decades...This show gets me, and my growing up. The episode with the home movie! I laughed harder than the oogie boogie scene in Porky's two!

congrats on the success! i came across one of ur vids on moral orel on my recommended and it got me to rewatch it bc when it was aired i was only able to catch a few episodes here and there bc it aired kinda later at night and i was a lot younger then and couldn't fully grasp the messages of the series and hadn't had much life experience at that point. i'm really glad i rewatched it now that i can better understand it

I’m currently trying to write a fanfic version of season four of Moral Orel using some of the things we know what was supposed to happen. The first story will deal with Orel coping with the death of Arthur Puppinton and how nothing made sense to him anymore and how Stephanie teaches Orel a valuable lesson about life and death.

I personally would love to see the unreleased episodes video because as of now i can't find the script or anyone saying how bloberta would have been with officer papermouth And as for moral orel in general. I love it. It's a little rough around the edges especially with season one (i find it similar to bojack horseman's first season). However i will never forget sacrifice. It's the most beautiful depiction of a synical and horrible man saying why he does what he does. This is a hot take but in my opinion clay could probably have changed for the better if he really tried. But instead he decided to ravish in his narcissism and in a way get what he wanted because orel would never forget him. My favorite line will be "and then you realize...all too soon. That your not good enough...and maybe there was a jerk off called darwin after all. And that you never acknowledged his existence because u knew deep inside that you were really what you feared u were WEAK and PASSIVE and ultimately BROKEN by the ones who were made the fittest"...irl I'm a pretty weak and passive person so that got to me.

I am the most interested in the cut content for the show as someone who just finished watching the show and read the script for r**ed. I think said episode would have been really good, as despite its dark subject matter it does have a bittersweet but relatively happy ending. As dark as season 3 is I feel like a consistent theme throughout it is hope. As dark as things are, for a decent chunk of the characters there is some underlying hope that things can change for them for the better. I think this would have been even more apparent with the cut content. It’s a real shame that Adult Swim cancelled the show because they thought it was too dark. It may be very dark, and heart breaking, but it doesn’t give me that utter feeling of hopelessness that post season 2 Rick and Morty gives off. Unlike that show it feels like the characters can and will grow despite their faults. That’s just my take on tings though.

Simple: Moral Orel can't be stopped. No matter how hard you go, there is always another thing deep down the Moral Orel rabbit hole, which while not as deep as Akazukin ChaCha, is certainly a dive.
