Since there is such a large crossover in audiences, them all joining one channel wouldn't make much difference in subscriber count. Them all creating their own channels with the similar audiences following each one generates more ad revenue and sponsorship opportunities.

Here's a video idea for all 3 channels. Remember the scrapyard wars show from Discovery channel? Something along those lines between the three of you, instead of just cheap car challenges, and this way, instead of each channel having the same content, each channel would have their own build and at the end, one of the channels gets the last video of the actual challenge. Just a thought and would spread the content evenly.
