Well Thank You for showing more and more of Scalea. My heart was in my mouth as you were climbing those roads. Now I know why people bought those tiny Fiats. Every video I notice something new. This time I was looking at how gray color the beach is but yet the water is so blue. That really surprised me. Fantastic video. I can't believe there is so much of Scalea I haven't seen. I can't wait to be there! We might have to fit that hot chocolate in on the same day as the bakery for breakfast. It looks divine!!! This was my favorite you tube so far. I ate at a great pizzeria there. I sat outside and the apartment above had bras hanging from the clothes line over my head. The pizza was so delicious. Have you taken a boat tour around Dino Island yet?

You can easily live in Scalea without a car. You may prefer the flat areas near shops…but we know many that get around fine with no car, even living up on hills. 👍

Lorelei, first of all, thanks for watching our videos. We are glad you are enjoying our beautiful Calabria. It really is heaven on earth. To answer your question, yes, electric cars are around. There is a new, popular cute one by Citroen, called Ami. On some of the larger villas, we have noticed solar panels. I cannot remember which video (perhaps the one where we closed on the villa) but we have told the price of the purchase on the villa. And, when everything is 100% done with renovations, we do plan on putting the numbers together, and announcing how much the renovations were, as well.

how close to the airport and a hospital are you?

There is a hospital in Belvedere, which is (roughly) thirty minutes away. And, as far as airports, the Rome airport is about 6 hours from us. But, there is a train, that comes right into Scalea.

We needed a place that would be level enough in the main parts of town for Michael's walker. And, we wanted somewhere not so touristic. The more we did our online research, the more we started to like Scalea. Thank you so much for watching, Bill.

Hello Frank. People are so warm and welcoming here . We find locals obviously know we are gay. They have been very kind overall from our experience. We have met other gay couples and gay individuals. LGBTQ people are here no worries. Locals and expats . We can only speak for our experience and from our area here. We’ve not been to every area so who knows…but here…we feel more kindness here than we ever felt in most of USA. Thanks for watching our channel guys 👍🤗🥰
