Arend, Annessa, you're so brave to sell everything and travel across the ocean with small kids then wait for the visas, but then since you've landed in Russia you've been protected and cherished by God: you've got a place to live and register, you've become a popular KZbinr with a huge subscriber base, then you've found your dream land and that's where all miracles started to happen: your dream tractor was brought, water found, your first year crop is great and your newly built house is under the roof by the end of the summer, isn't it great?!!! Today I have found that in Poland and other countries of EU keeping and using own seeds is criminal offense! Farmers must buy seeds each year from someone that make them fully depended on willingness of someone to sell the seeds and on what kind of seed ( say GMO) someone is willing to sell. Personally I am very scared

I am a Christian who lives here in the United States on a ranch. I wish I had the money to move to Russia. I see no downsides to it, other than a bit of culture shock. If one can respect Russia's laws and leadership, I am certain that anyone with traditional conservative values can thrive there. I would probably choose to live closer to a more populated area though. I enjoyed the restaurants and coffee shop culture when I lived in Boise, Idaho. After seeing some of what the city life has to offer in Russia from other KZbin channels, it looks like it has a lot to offer.

Города в России безопасны, детишки бегают одни почти круглые сутки. Магазины продуктов и аптеки круглосуточно работают. Много парков и бесплатных спортивных сооружений. И в городе и в деревне есть свои преимущества и недостатки, пока молодой можно и в деревне пожить а вот как только вышел на пенсию проще уже будет в городе (сил на огород может уже не хватить).

Russia is quite a Western country in terms of cultural heritage and although there are differences, I don't think you will experience a culture shock. It is not Asia or Africa. The biggest problem for a migrant is the need to learn the language. The rest is like moving to Europe without a "woke" agenda.

​@@irac9541 не забывайте что у Арэнда в Канаде было несколько тракторов. И целая ферма коров. Он трудился не на фабрике(заводе), а на собственной ферме. А до этого наверняка были и кредиты в банке и много всякого. А ещë больше работы. Тяжелой сельской работы... И сейчас, я смотрю, как он "пашет" наравне с собственным трактором... Моë восхищение этим человеком. Дай Бог ему и его семье здоровья. И достойного вознаграждения за его упорство и труд! Очень много многодетных порядочных семей, я много таких семей знаю. У одной семье 15 своих деток, прекрасные дети, почти все музыканты, очень порядочная семья, другую семью знаю у них 11 детей, мальчики мастера на все руки, девчонки мамины помощницы, все могут делать и по дому. Еще бы могла перечислять, так что есть хорошие многодетные семьи, некоторые даже побывали у Путина, вот когда бывает 1 июня, день защиты детей. I can relate to your house build. I passed my final inspection and received my habitation permit in March. I've installed tile floors and cut my own lumber, milled the wood and finished my door trim. I'm going to start working on my baseboards. I used steel to build my house. I found that using structural steel to build a house take about 4 times longer. Especially when you're doing all the work yourself. But then what do you do when you retire from corporate IT? My working career is a varied experience taking me through all sorts of vocations, most with the same company. I came from a family of ten, with six other brothers and one sister. People are waking up to the lies being told to them by their governments. The US has some very evil and disgusting psychopaths and sociopaths running most of the government. One thing I can attest to is that Vladimir Putin does have the patience of a saint as he has displayed throughout the attack on Russia by the United States and Europe through out his political career. Well, the house can be assumed in advance. Heating: 30-120k RUB per year, depending on the availability of energy resources. The cheapest option is natural gas from us. Electricity (excluding heating): 2k-3k per month = 24..36k RUB per year. Water supply: only the cost of replacing filters ~0 RUB Sewerage: ~0 RUB Property tax: ~0 RUB Internet: ~1k per month or 12k RUB per year. Total: 62k..168k RUB d year. That's 670..1,850 USD per year. I can't estimate how much it will cost to maintain the farm yet.

Yes, in a week or two the city services will probably turn on the heating in the houses, because it is already cold at night, I have to sleep under two blankets. It's a pity that Arend and the family can't connect to the city heating system yet, because it would make their life a lot easier

Аренд, поговорите с ребятами, которые продали Вам трактор. Я думаю, что они смогут сделать крепление на руле и кулису, для переключения задний ход- передний ход для левой руки (возможно съемный, который будете ставить только для погрузки - разгрузки).
