Under the wing of the Church of England, the Church of Ireland is also under serious threat by liberals especially in the southern province with at least two of its Bishops in support of same sex 'relationships'. At last years synod a proposal to bless same sex relationships was defeated - but not overwhelmingly. It is worthy to note that the speakers lined up to give their views were 50/50 for and against. The Bishops are to come back to next years synod with a proposal as to how the Church can come up with a 'solution/proposal' as to how 'we can all move forward together' Sound familiar? Every Blessing GAFCON. PLEASE keep spreading the true Word, don't let anything distract or stop you. Anglicanism needs your wisdom guidance and support from your learned contributors like never before in its history. So I ask GAFCON.... Please don't forget the Church of Ireland and keep us your prayers we may need you sooner than you think.

I have got bad news for GAFCON. Some people are gay through no choice or fault of their own or anybody else's and that we are just going to have to learn to live together.

poor Charles doesn't realise that the so called 'reformation' was in fact an attack on the Body of Christ. indulgences and pilgrimages are wonderful gifts from God through His Church. Luther was a heretic and enemy of Christ's Holy Church. Charles sides with the enemies of Christ's Church, what he calls the 'roman' church is in fact the Body of Christ. he also denies the fact that the sacraments are essential to salvation. pray for Charles' conversion (and indeed GAFCONs).

Schism is inevitable since individual interpretation of the bible means no one has the final say in doctrinal matters. The issue is always authority and Divine inspiration that guarantees protection of the Truth. Gafcon will not bring unity. Gafcon will leave the COE behind. But the lack of authority will lead to future division and confusion. So many good souls refusing to see the obvious.

It defies credibility that teh CoE is heading towards the recognition of same-sex relationships, while the RC Church i crippled by the results of the actions of homosexual clergy. Both are such an absolute travesty of the Truth.

Before you speak of a Christian denomination as a travesty of the truth, first be clear about your position on the Eucharist. You have four to choose from: (1) The common position of the Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox (transubstantiation/metaousiosis). (2) The Lutheran position: (affirms the corporeal presence of Christ with and under the bread and the wine). (3) The Zwinglian position: (denies any presence of Christ at all in the bread and the wine). (4) The Calvinist position (splits the difference between Luther and Zwingli, (spiritual presence affirmed, corporeal presence denied).
