Well, I'm not so sure about that. It's been my experience with viewing and dealing with others (and it was stated in this video) that life kinda carries people, even if they choose not to flow with it. Unfortunately, the consequence to never jumping off the cliff is that life becomes more mundane, predictable, depressing, and not worth the effort. This in turn causes an individual more suffering; however, many choose that suffering because of it's illusion of stability and knowing, and that's what most feel they want and need. Even if some of their ground falls away, they feel that enough of it stays intake for them to continue living their lives with a false sense of "security", even if it is at a minimum. They never generate enough courage or build enough self esteem to jump off any cliffs, so they stay on that level ground no matter how small and isolating it gets, because life will in fact carry them that way, until they die. And that is why change can be so difficult for so many.

I came from a very shut down and abusive childhood. I'd have been totally shut down if it wasn't for a guy who gave me a hit of LSD in 1970. That was the beginning of my slow and very painful awakening but I'd rather have that than what I had to look forward to back then. I've changed a lot but I haven't changed some of the fundamental damage that happened in those early days with completely dysfunctional parents. I accept that. I'm still grateful for the ways I've come awake. One thing is that I do not seek the approval of others anymore. I'm on my own and I'm actually ok with that. I've come to like myself in many ways. The very ways that others dislike or avoid me, likely due to their own fears. I feel for them. I know how hard it is to face what's actually going on in human culture. Without that LSD I'd be doing the very things they are. In fact I'd be just another face on the street doing what everyone else is doing. My life is very different than that. That makes it lonely at times but usually the very opposite. I feel my strongest when alone. I do have dogs that I've trained and am very bonded with. We live very reclusively and spend many hours a day in the mountains here roaming and playing. In fact my only connection with humanity is right here on the internet. Good luck to all of us. Happy Trails.

Beliefs are more powerful than personal will...it's the beliefs that allow us to continue to distort, delete and generalize experience into a cognitive dissonance- reminding ourselves continually of how uncomfortable we'll be if that experience ever reoccurs. When we know how our neurology influences our physiology, we can allow ourselves to experience the discomfort long enough for the discomfort to habituate and dissipate. It takes some patience and determination. Evidence based neuroscience now offers us some real strategies to move beyond these old beliefs...something NLP & Hypnosis have been doing for some time.

@Hellboy on one hand it is true, but of all the things we should and shouldn't romanticize, childhood trauma is probably the worst evil and most destructive thing ever-those who've never experienced it would shudder at the courage required to make it through it and I would never be thankful for that kind of pain.
@bbelh36432 жыл бұрын
YES I agree with you!. I've read the book but do you have any advice on how to heal the trauma even tho your resistant to change?
@bmxshow4 жыл бұрын
Allow me to simplify apart of what's being said here; 1. Childhood trauma, adulthood trauma, substance abuse collectively crippled - ended up homeless. 2. I wanted to be sober, heal my emotional wounds - I did not have access to addiction treatment or psychologist or psychiatrist to help me work through my emotional vulnerabilities and insecurities. 3. I wanted help, I was willing to take directions and suggestions - I remain stuck for about 10 years - . 4. I had a desire for a healthy life both physically and emotionally - with hope I persevered - I became a student of addiction recovery - I use the 12-step program as therapy - I used volunteering as therapy and learning experience. 5. Long story short; I learned to apply forgiveness, applying forgiveness allowed me to heal my emotional wounds and shed the burden of my emotional baggage. Today I pursue a path of being content and comfortable in my own skin, I am much more towards others who I have conflicts with, I am tremendously grateful for the abundance of a resources available to us, my ego is in check, I'm sober 5 years. Because I was willing and because I was ready to change I was able to coach myself, I learned how to be my own counselor and my own therapist. I'm no longer crippled by emotional wounds and the burden of emotional. I created long-term transformation by making very small changes on a consistent daily basis - making small changes added up to exponential growth over the Long. Today my previous pain, my previous adversities are now my valuable life lessons - the source of my previous pain is now the source of my emotional and moral strength

This video hits a lot of topics which I have been grapping with over the last handful years. I have realised a couple years ago that our individual identities as people are artificial constructs that only reflect a sliver of all the psychological impulses firing off within us, for most of us molded into something seemingly-coherent by the cultural/political/religious contexts we have been raised into. However, until half a year ago it has been difficult for me to reconcile this revelation with the insight that you can't function in everyday life without SOME form of constructed identity, so you better create the type of identity that you actually need to solve the challenges you face in life right now. Something I only have started doing with any detectable success now, as I finally have a satisfying level of control over the social anxiety issues I have struggled with for most of adulthood.
@JC-lh1pj3 жыл бұрын
I was an age regression hypnotherapist. Love the video. Associative memory or a combination of emotional colors over memories of objects or scenes is the filter that consciousness looks through to "see" this reality. It is the ego, the emotional relationships of the past that we project onto the now. It's just a memory and to let it go is to be free of the ego, but its the only reality that we know and therefore fear paralyzes us back into the ego and this dream of death. Its more comfortable than the unknown.
@theaverageDon6 жыл бұрын
Pausing at 1:00 to give my input. There is a correlation, historically, between changes in our societies during peaceful and chaotic times. Rarely, if ever, do our social orders ever evolve during peace times as people seemingly become content during these periods. Which makes sense considering many different philosophies regarding the purpose of structure in civilization, people subconsciously lean towards less chaos and more order. This though becomes a double-edged sword as the order which we obtain for security, "better way of life," and what not, indoctrinates us as it enjoys the power and control they have over society. Those that hold power prefer no change in our social structure, if anything they'll sew more chaos by waging wars for better control as people in a peaceful, stagnant society will always chose security over their own free-will. Point is, we struggle to change because true change is "chaos," in a natural state people trend away from this chaos unless provoked by those which wish to keep us contained

Only later in life I realised that my worldview and behaviour was not benefitting me so I had to change. I tried hard to let goed of the toxic patterns that once helped me, but it feels like loosing a part of yourself. I think this is also the case with bpd. You want to change, want to stop to view the World as hostile, but you have been taught that's the way to survive. So when you realise this pattern is of no use, you lose a part of your sense of self, your Youth had been wasted learning toxic behaviors and coping tactics just to survive. Wherein those seeking to change patterns of thought and behavior they recognize as harmful or hindrance meet seemingly insurmountable resistance, there exists a shortcut or aid in their quest. Namely the ingestion of a suitable dose of psilocybin (or similar compound) in the right setting and frame of mind, will aid by suppressing the default neural mode and promoting neural genesis. The mind becomes more fluid and alternative patterns of thought become clearer and more attainable.

It's fascinating that, while on the one hand we seem to need a coherent sense of an enduring self to function, at the same time spiritual traditions (I'm thinking of my own zen Buddhist practice, but others as well) are about realizing that, in fact, there is no enduring self anywhere to be found within us.

Thank you for your wonderful channel, empowering people is so vital right now and for the coming times of great change. In energy work we are now also learning about the power of thought-forms which lodge and magnify within the energy bodies. Thoughts aggregate via human attention until they are quasi-sentient, and when we feel/think something similar they are attracted in through resonance. Over time, they glom into rather large blobs which affect our thoughts and feelings and behaviors powerfully - yet we think it's all our own, even when we recognize how we are overreacting and making mountains of molehills. Removal of these can dramatically change mental and emotional patterns pretty instantaneously (to the astonishment of the client). Quantum healers can even do this long distance, and you can feel their work quite viscerally (the ones I've worked with, anyway). Just thought I'd mention that in case any of your audience really wants to make some personality changes; it really does work if one is open minded enough to try it. They can also clear ancestral patterns of unhealthy thought and emotion (like victim energy or addiction patterns) which similarly get passed down in the subtle energy bodies.

Please try providing the subtitles. The content is very well executed, I just face a little difficulty in catching the conceptual portions of the video. Humble request from a long time follower. Thanks.
