Do yourself a favor. Watch this video twice, or three times. Really grasp the ideas. Just watching this once may ignite a few sparks, but you really should kindle the ideas through rewatching and meditating on these ideas for a few days, or weeks even. This way, you can really grasp the ideas as they were meant to be known.

Definitely! Excellent advice. The video and the following in the series are in fact guidance of most likely for 99.9% the most interesting, amazing life changing brain surgery you could dream of let alone do. There simply is very little else in life that one could undertake voluntarily that will change one's life destiny for the better. With such importance and consideration that such a task is guided with a series of short videos summarising the process if abundant focus and understanding is not strived for the chance of metamorphosis into greatness is very low. It crosses my mind to research and look into the subject deeply. However, my instict tells me that could get me tangled up and confused with too many varying methods and ideas. AOI with their incredible insight and amazing ability to condense the wisdom of numerous psychological and philosophical geniuses I am confident will give me the tools to undertake it successfully.

@draintheswampnews36565 жыл бұрын
Whenever I was at my lowest point this last year I was homeless and a girl I really liked broke up with me. With all the chaos in my life it caused me to have to introspect, and learn about the imbalances in my personality that I've had since I was a little kid. I listen to a lot Jordan Peterson as well, I learned to take responsibility for myself and my actions rather than getting angry with reality. That was the first step and then I learned it's okay to be alone. Next I started thinking back to when I was a kid, I always hung out with kids two or three grades ahead of me which at an early age I believe caused me to repress the disagreeable side into my shadow and to become overly nice and I was now letting people walk on me because it. Feeling I'd never be able to be complete unless I let that side of my personality show through, I began to care less what other's think and to be more self companionate, not just having compassion for others. I picked up boxing, I have my own apartment now. I never thought being in that situation that I would be so grateful for the turmoil but without being at rock bottom I never would have seen it necessary to go into my own mind.

Step 1: Write out the answers to these questions: Who would you like to be? What do you value? What do you want out of life? This is the end goal. Step 2: Is there anything about yourself or the world that absolutely precludes the possibility of this end? If none, then now you have a living option. Step 3: Perform mental contrasting: write out how you see your life unfolding if you remain as you are now, in contrast to how your life will become if you move towards the ideal of your living option. Step 4: Write out a brief life narrative in a way that frames the events of the past in such a way that by the end of the narrative, you are firmly planted on the path of your living option(Eg: if your past consisted of aimless drifting-reframe it and think about it as a positive experience that taught you importance of having goals and which lead you to your living option instead of thinking about it as wasted time) Step 5: develop a journaling habit- challenge who you think you are and where you think you are going.

Jordan B Peterson has something called "The Self-Authoring Program" that is where you write out your past, present and future. It's more or less what was mentioned in this video and I cannot recommend it enough. Being able to write my past allowed me to come to terms with it and move on. Nowadays, I no longer wish so badly that I can step back in time and redo it. In fact, I know that it's only because I went through my past, the troubles and trials that I am where I am today.

Something was said here that floored me and I had to stop for five minutes and think about it. Could it be that the purpose of my experience is redemption? To not waste my life like my other family members, stewing in regret and envy. To not walk through life, looking at other people with selfish ambivalence. To live with humility, and not pride. To look for wisdom and truth, and not greed. To find it impossible to live, while other people are suffering.

First I tell my self what kind of person I want to be, then I must do what I have to do. I must build up my life action by action, and be content if each action achieves its goal as far as possible-- and nothing can keep this from happening. Concentrate on what I have to do right now-- at this very moment. Fix my eyes on it. It is during our darkest moment that we must focus to see the light. Remind my self that my task is to be a good human being. Remind my self what nature demands of me. Then do it, without hesitation, and speak the truth as I see it. But with kindness. With humility. Without hypocrisy.
