This video could honestly be summed up as: 1996 was a great draft and high schoolers weren't really appreciated at the level they soon would. All that said, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite series on YT. Please keep these up man!

They're HIGH SCHOOLERS; what level of "appreciation" have they earned?? {replies something about KG, LeBron & T-Mac, ignores the likes of Telfair & Kwame Brown, let alone those we've forgotten cos "never made it"}

@@darrengordon-hill to be fair though, there were excellent college players who played like shit in the NBA. So it's a gamble either way you look at it.

@@jamesdjl4359 2% (and that's being generous). That's as much of the NCAA that get drafted, let alone signed. "College basketball" is about playing in exchange for education in order to pursue a career (medicine, finance, law etc). Many go on to play internationally (there's *so much* "professional basketball) the average NBA fan is unaware of) - demonstrating they are, to a degree/certain level, "professional athletes". Now, what do you think the percentage is of HS players making it *college* let alone the NBA at 18? And would the bulk of the "1 & done" players in PHX be better now without that year/gap/experience? Shaq outta HS? Sure. But not Tim Duncan. And maybe not Kwame either.

Because hes at best a spark off the bench, despite what that stint in Brad Stevens system that makes even Terry Rozier look good would have people think he can be an MVP caliber player. IT is an absolute defensive liability, and hes even too short to see over a pick and roll so he can't be a quality facilitator, and the league is a defensive switch league where they take advantage of mismatches. All it takes is a screen or two and IT is switched onto a big or a wing he can't hope to stop.
@Grind2Excellence5 жыл бұрын
ImAviex IT is actually one of the best scorers per 36 min in modern nba history. He Led Boston Celtics to the playoffs twice & once all he way to the 1 seed with a lackluster roster full of cast offs. Boston also had top 15 defense both years. He also averaged 29 ppg on good efficiency and a high ftr in a mvp caliber season. By all measures AND without any jealous bias ... *ahem* ... *you*... he is a proven star pg when healthy.
