Personally I was perfectly happy to use one (or just let my older child stand on the crossbar) on my already second hand stroller, knowing it would trash the resale value. I don't buy a stroller as an investment, it's a tool. It's a pain to resell anything anyway so I would rather start out with a cheap one and run it into the ground than worry about preserving the value, or spend a huge amount more on a model designed for this feature. It's useful information to share that they cause excess wear and tear, damaging the longevity and secondhand value, but I don't think that should be a blanket no to ever using one. It's a much better solution for a 3-4 year gap and a tired and slightly envious 3-5yo to hop on and off than a double buggy, which wouldn't have a seat large enough for a child that age anyway and tends to feel unwieldy and unbalanced with a 1yo in the smaller child seat, meaning you have to constantly swap them around.

I personally love my wheeled boards don’t let this video discourage you from buying them just use it properly. I have three different strollers. I have my bumbleride indie twin stroller which I use my bumbleride board with. And I have Britax B-Ready stroller & I use my britax board with it. I also have a Chicco Mini Bravo Plus Stroller and I use my britax board with that as well. I live in Las Vegas NV so I usally use my strollers at events or when I go shopping and I’ll use the boards too just depends on the occasion. I highly recommend not using your bored on your stroller, If you’re going off to rain, these are clearly NOT jogging boards 😂 and I don’t think they have made boards that you can take into the woods like is shows some of these people doing in the video😅. Also listen to your handbook when it specifically tells you not to go over a certain weight on these boards they mean it or else you will have to extreme damage like this guy points out in the video.

Another reason why wheeled boards are bad, is because there are often more bumps and potholes in the road than you would want. And buggy boards do not do well with that.

In the US iCandy isn’t widely sold, and the models offered don’t have the standing platform. Also Baby Jogger has discontinued the City Select Lux, and not included the bench seat in the City Select 2. Is there any reason why there might not be any strollers built with standing platforms available in the US?

Thanks. I was wondering about this for my bugaboo fox. Before our warranty expired we took the stroller in to be fixed (folding mechanism had a hiccup, but not broken). They couldn't fix it so they gave us a whole new chassis of a bugaboo fox2. We will be using the fox for baby number 2 and I was thinking about getting a wheely board for our soon to be 3yr old who weighs abiour 15kg. However, now that i've seen your review I'm leaning towards not getting the (company manufactured) one, as we won't have a warrenty on the chasis anymore.

What about the joolz day+ it says there that it has a lifetime Guarantee? So if it damage wouldn’t they be replacing anything that needs replacement? (if i use a joolz bord)

Any thoughts on Graco's Ready2Grow 2.0 with that integrated bench? Our second baby is here in October and we're just worried about build quality. We put like 4 - 6 miles on our stroller a day (don't own a car in the city). Our current stroller is a Graco and after 2 years of rain, snow, lots of flying and cobble stone streets, she's about on her last legs. We were looking into that Evenflo expand with the buggy board attachment but will be skipping that now. Don't want to pay uppababy prices, especially with the hell we put these through but if we gotta do it, we will. Great channel btw dude, subbed.

I've had the icandy lime, we bought it from mother care back when my 5 year old was a baby, my 4 year old hated it and it was hard to steer, the front wheels were so stiff. I'm back to using a bugaboo with wheeled board 🤷🏽‍♀️ for my little boy and his 4 yr old sister. Just have to take the risk lol

Regarding wheel boards i think if you are aware that your even expensive stroller might not last as long or loose resale value go ahead. But i think it is better to teach child ride balance bike or even those sit on scooters . If the child is too small get a double stroller

I found you also have the Graco Uno2Duo stroller. But I think the iCandy looks nicer and sturdier too. I hope other brands will follow the example of iCandy, because it is such a smart idea.

@@Merope4ever i honestly do not see point . My daughter stoped using stroller when she was 2,5 years old and my son was born. She was just holding on the side of stroller or used balance bike .

@@kristinemacule4948 I think it can be used for longer walks, or children who are not so keen on balance bikes. But there are different ways of using strollers and some people don't want a stroller at all. It also depends on your lifestyle. My parents only had a simple umbrella stroller and their opinion was that they didn't need a double stroller or a buggy board or anything else. But my sister is 2 years younger than me. And my experience is that I was kicked out of the stroller because of her. And there have been moments where I was very tired and they forced me te keep on walking. Of course they could have carried me or my sister and maybe they really didn't need anything else than that simple stroller. But I am not going to do the same as them.

A long time ago, we had peg perego umbrella fold stroller that had a step on the back. The stroller lasted 3 kids over 8 years without ever needing repairs. I don't know if it's still manufactured. But I bought it around 2005

Actually quite a few. There’s the Vidiamo Limo stroller that has a jump seat that pulls out from under the main seat. The Austlen Entourage stroller has a bench seat. Micro Lite TwoFold, Kinderwagon Hop and the Baby Jogger City Select Lux.

I have a Diono Quantum and it is built well, and not used a lot. I am not going to sell it to buy a stroller with a built in step at the back that looks rather cramped compared to the stroller boards. I don't care about damage that might happen and I can fix this stuff myself anyway. So I am going to buy a stroller board and also a handle extender so my feet won't hit the stroller board. In fact, I can buy extra hardware, wheels etc. for cheap ahead of time , if I notice any wear on the components so that when they fail, I can repair them tout suite.

Look what I found. It's not just the iCandy Orange and iCandy Lime. They also have a ride-on-board for the iCandy Peach! (No succes with the link. Sorry. You will have to google it.) Of course you need to buy the board seperately, for with the Peach it's not built in. But it's a board without wheels. And you can use it on multiple versions of the Peach, even the All Terrain version. Wow. This pushchair is versatile. The iCandy Peach AT converts from 3 wheeler to 4 wheeler and back in a blink of an eye. You can still turn the seat around in 3 wheel mode. When you want to use the elevators or 2 seats and/or the ride-on-board, it needs to be in 4 wheel mode. But it is sooo flexible.

The longboard stroller from Quinny is like a skateboard with a child seat on it. I think it looks cool, but it was a limited edition thing. You can not buy it new anymore.

From an engineering point of view, watching a chubby 5 year old, coupled with a huge bag and baby in the stroller putting all that weight on tall skinny wheels over bumps levering the wheel bearings looks cringy
