I have it, I love it. It saves me money in hardware costs AND electrical costs. I would have already spent over $40~ on electricity from playing RDR2. EDIT: used peak instead of avg watt for old build so savings were updated from $60 to $40~.

@@Aeruthus let me just tell you. No you wouldn't have spent 60 bucks on power already. Its around average 22 cents per kwh. The average family uses around 3500 kwh a year which is a full family including gamers and washing machines and everything. So that is almost 800 bucks a year so dont think you would've already spent 60 bucks on power because that would be 272 kwh.

From a wifi expert to you: while wifi 6 is amazing it still isnt nearly as good as a hardwired connection especially when material is blocking the line of sight from ur computer to the wireless access point. Wifi6 attenuates much faster then 5g or 2.4g and as it stands now 5g doesn't broadcast very well through material. Regardless of beam forming....

I don't understand why they improve frequencies that aren't really usable at home. Most 5GHz routers can only do one or two walls. Isn't it possible to improve good old 2.4?

If 5GHz can handle ~800 Mbps, why can't 2.5 handle about half? 300-400 would still be more than sufficient.

@@gustavrsh 2.4ghz is only like 60 to 100 mbps per channel at 20hz N and the whole frequency is only 60 hz so whenever there is any type of saturation it shits the bed. That's why in appartment buildings 2.4ghz is almost unusable. Plus 2.4ghz has much longer range then 5g so u get saturation from devices much farther away. The reason 2.4ghz can't handle faster speeds is because it has to be backwards compatible with older wifi protocols.. because of phy rate the signal can never be fast due to waiting its turn to communicate, While older devices block the communication. Devices have to wait their turn to communicate otherwise there is to much noise and rebroadcasting

I'd really like a video on AV2000 powerline adapters for gaming. I've had some really good results when using them and when I've recommended them to others they've been very happy with the results. For some reason people don't really know much about powerline and in my opinion it's just as viable an option as other wired / wireless technologies. I'm curious to see how they perform in multi user workloads. Either a switch coming from a single powerline adapter vs multiple powerline adapters in a single household.

It really depends on the environment. If you're already close to the access point and your network doesn't have many clients, wifi 6 will offer little to no improvement (unlike 60ghz wifi). But especially for public spaces like restaurants, airports, etc. this will be quite an upgrade.

In many online games the frame will freeze without updates from the game server. Games like Starcraft and Overwatch run like this. The alternative is have your client continue to run and then once you recieve the update you'll suddenly realize you are running into a wall, or dead, instead of what you thought you did.

Your friend could be extremely dense and creating a strong gravitational field.
