@Lucy-gc4rs pure monotheism (one god). Mountains of evidence that proves the text’s authenticity and 0 contradiction. Depends if you’re sincerely looking for the truth. I am skeptic and critic myself but i don’t understand how if someone believes in god how can they come up with a conclusion after research that any other religion is true. Nothing comes close. Once you say that the text is from god than you can basically say that whatever in it is true and than this problem of killing someone who leaves islam that a shariah law and it’s a technical concept that you need to study to understand. Than again whatever god says in the book if you believe in the book than that’s word of god so.

Assalamu alaykum brother! We need your help to raise awareness about the hijab ban in Tajikistan 🇹🇯. The government has banned wearing the hijab, and they are fining and arresting women who wear it on the streets. They have been trying for a long time to secularize the public and make them less religious. Men under 18 are not allowed to go to the mosque, teaching Tajweed is illegal, and men are not allowed to have beards. They imprison anyone who speaks out, and we don’t know what to do. Please pray for us and help spread the word!

I am an 83 year old, American woman who very recently reverted to Islam, and for many of the same reasons Sheika Burkatulla mentioned here. Although I am happy to cover my head, I can't imagine wearing a full hijab, as I find it oppressive. As a human being, I believe it is necessary and desirable to connect with others and we do that through facial expressions as well as with our speech. Further, as a licensed psychotherapist in my professional life, now retired, the hijab would been impediment to meaningful connection with my patients. Still, I'm very new and have much to learn and appreciate the viewpoints presented here.

Just for clarification sister, wearing the hijab doesn't entail covering your face. The basic hijab only covers the hair and the chest. What shaikha Fatima is weraing is a "niqab" which is a level above hijab but isn't mandatory. You can still see a woman's face with her hijab.

Lynn, as a fellow professional in the medical field who is a revert and wears hijab, who works with vulnerable patients in need of council and clinical care, your fears about how patients perceive a woman in hijab are not entirely warranted. I feared the same, it was the only impediment to my wearing hijab. But I decided to wear it anyway, trusting Allah. Contrary to any fears, I have GREATER trust now from my patients. The absolute opposite of these fears has evolved. For me, I represent my love for Allah in all I do. This is unshakable. My hijab is a perpetual reminder of my relationship with Allah and that all I do is for Him. It is in no way a form of oppression for me. It is something I wear for the greatest honor. I represent Islam visibly, immediately. I have the opportunity to represent it at my highest self, for Allah SWT. At your age, you haven't clinically practiced as a full hijabi. I assure you, I have, it is not what you fear it is. Not only are my connections deeper, I am blessed to show, through my actions, my professionalism, my sincere attention and intention, that Islam is pure. Shaytan had me believe as you do, but Allah showed me the truth. We do not need to hide our love for Allah to help our patients or for our patients to trust us. It is your sincerity and authenticity that shines through.

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “If a woman offers her five daily prayers, fasts her month (Ramadan), guards her chastity and obeys her husband, it will be said to her: Enter Paradise by whichever of the gates of Paradise you wish.”

This Muslima is absolutely correct! I know I don’t look Muslim, but I am and I was fortunate enough to have been born into Islam. We all go through our ups and downs in our religion. But I can never follow any other religion and say there is any other God than Allah. People try to pervert Islam, but they cannot. Everything about Islam will always point back to truth. We Muslims are not Muslim because we have blind faith. We choose to be believers and my path is my path and it is not ok to tell me that I am not a Muslim. Mind yourself and your tongue or you will get that bad deed of lying. We should all give each other grace, tolerance, positive support and understanding of each other.

It goes both ways. Yes, maybe people are discovering that Islam is great, but others are finding it disgusting. Maybe you are growing. But perhaps not fast enough to achieve your goals the way it is planned. Perhaps you will have to pull the trigger when you are not quite ready, but realizing it is your best chance.

Sahih al-Bukhari 4788 I used to look down upon those ladies who had given themselves to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and I used to say, "Can a lady give herself (to a man)?" But when Allah revealed: "You (O Muhammad) can postpone (the turn of) whom you will of them (your wives), and you may receive any of them whom you will; and there is no blame on you if you invite one whose turn you have set aside (temporarily).' Sahih Muslim 1406 d Sabra al-Juhani reported on the authority of his father that while he was with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) he said: O people, I had permitted you to contract temporary marriage with women, but Allah has forbidden it (now) until the Day of Resurrection. So he who has any (woman with this type of marriage contract) he should let her off, and do not take back anything you have given to them (as dower).
