@@lydialoo5177 so my daughter's eyes work perfectly fine but it is the optic nerve that doesn't send what she sees to her brain and your brain controls everything so therefore she cannot see. She sees light and shadows but because shes so young doctors can't yet tell me what else she can see. But I believe she sees more than just Shadows because she does follow toys and stuff. So Onh also leads to brain abnormalities. So her brain never got to fully develop so she's missing pieces of her brain so she is on lots of hormone shots and pills. That her brain does not produce. She has diabetes insipidus. She does not feel hunger but feels constant thirst so she drinks lots of water and has a feeding tube. Also can't smell and taste the same way that we do. Just like her brain does not tell her stomach to feel hungry she also cannot feel the urge to go to the bathroom. So she has to take medication to have a bowel movement or it would just all be stuck inside her. She's extremely smart can memorize things like crazy.to strangers she looks normal n not blind n very pretty just like you. So therefore strangers even family friends have a hard time believing she's completely blind. is if a human being or mother would lie about being blind.lol ppl in this world can b so stubborn judgmental n uneducated. I'm so excited you reply to me I feel like I'm talking to a celebrity thank you so much I love you and admire you. Please don't stop making videos. my daughter is perfectly beautiful and red hair just like yours. Three out of my four kids have red hair I love it.

I have a blind girlfriend myself, with which I have been married for over 10 years now. In the beginning, 10 years ago, I didn't even know she was blind. We were introduced to each other by friends and from the moment I was in love with her. In my eyes, being blind or disabled does not make you a bad person. Unfortunately, many people see it differently, which I find very unfortunate. I think it's very nice how it goes with you. I hope it will be so good for everyone else who is blind oder disabled. Never give up hope. There's always one out there that accepts you as you are.

We have 2 kids (fully sighted) I have my guide dog and pet dogs, the only thing we can come up with about disadvantage of being married to a blind person is he has to do all the driving!! I have a Niece Who was born Blind and is married to a man that can see. She has a College Degree, Runs in Marathons (with a partner) Spins Wool into yarn and knits stuff and sells it online, she plays several different instruments and loves Kick boxing. She doesn't have a seeing eye dog.....she likes cats. They are remodeling their first home. No children, they are in their mid thirties. Her husband is a grade school teacher. Her degree is for Social Work. She hasn't gotten a job in that field. She wanted to be a school counselor. I am very proud of her and her accomplishments. She has Cataracts Developing on her eyes and has to have surgery to remove them. And it took 3 different eye doctors before she found someone who was willing to do it. She has to be sedated due to her uncontrollable eye movements. She is great with her niece's and nephew. Her husband is very good to her. They've been together for about 18 years.....the went to High School together. He was a year behind her. They were friends first, then got together as boyfriend and girlfriend. The vision problem, is holes in a part of the eyes that can't be fixed. She can differentiate between lights on and lights off. She also rides a tractor on their property to rototill her garden. She rides a 2 person bicycle. She loves nature.....all the seasons. They got married outside, in October, at a "Park". Then had a small reception at the all you can eat buffet restraunt. It was nice. They made their own Wedding rings too. I hope that you two have a great Marriage and a happy life.

Blind or not her personality is infectious she is funny beautiful inside and out sweet and brings a sense of beauty everywhere she goes. Olly is a very lucky guy. She is definitely More Ginger than she is Blind. He is a really laid back cool guy and the chemistry between them both is so obvious that they both adore each other and are best friends as well as being in a relationship. Both lucky to have each other.

It's such a shame that disability and relationships is still a subject in this day and age. I suffer with pretty serious mental illness and I know that to a lot of shallow people that would mean I was unlovable and didn't deserve to have a partner. Well, I'm very happily married. In the good times we laugh a lot about a lot of things even my mental nut (hubby's description lol). We have bad times of course but everybody has those anyway. Our bad times are just a bit different. You can have an illness/disability and be a valued partner and able to love your partner to the ends of the earth and back again. Ollie is very much like my husband too. Just takes everything in his stride.

You know, I ask my husband this a lot. When we first met I was determined to start going out with him despite him being completely sighted, because that's what I wanted. I wanted to break the misconception that blind people only get with blind people and no one else. I wanted to show people that its a preference for some people, and through the months we've been married and the time that we dated and stuff, people have seen that. And you know what? He's said the exact things Olly has said. I'm serious. Because I ask him a lot, and he'll just say that its no different. Like there are some differences, but its very minimal, like audio description being on during movies, having to turn on voiceOver on his phone to show me something if he doesn't feel like reading it to me, things like that. Like there's basic differences, but as for personality things and stuff like that, there's no differences. I've taken care of him when he's been sick, I've cooked for him, I do things for him that a normal wife does for their husband. When we go on walks or trips together, he'll describe the surroundings to me, things like that so that I can still enjoy whatever we're doing together. We've been on flights together, things like that. He loves that I can just ask for preboarding without having to pay extra lol. Because he gets overwhelmed by a lot of people boarding a flight at once, and by describing the surroundings in an airport, I've helped him navigate to certain parts, like checking in and stuff, as before we met, he's never flown on a plane before. When he first met me he was nervous because he's never met a totally blind person before. But I just told him to go with it and he'd see that I'm no different than a normal person, and I was right. Because his whole attitude about being with someone who's blind completely changed after he met me.

Hunny, your “bad blind day” is the equivalent of my “”bad place in life day”. I have constant struggles with feeling overwhelmed/incapable of crawling out of the hole where my life is or where I am stuck in my head. I’m not trying to compare my struggles to you or say you don’t have it more difficult sweetheart, but every single person has “whoa is me” moments. My daughter was born with hearing impairment and she is now 21 and just got engaged!!!! If you raise all children to know that a disability is no different that blue eyes or brown blonde hair or ginger haha even those without a as we say disability then we have added one more open minded loving person into that generation! I never treated her different than her brother or younger sister. Her older brother was quite protective but didnt need to be very much! The only difference is you learn to sign or a different communication such as Lucys brail! We as patents are molding the next generation remember that parents! I loved how you discussed that he saw you as you were before, so he knew what was there, then you had the depressing time, but he already knew there was love and laughter and all the other lovely things there, and here you are again, mainly over it - still obviously bad blind days - but thats just part of blind life I guess. Interesting you mentioned counselling, I wouldn't allow myself to go to counselling, because I felt that would mean I have failed - but, after a year and a half of sight loss, I have finally decided that some counselling may be a good thing. You two make me smile so much - oh, but, one last thing..... man flu is HORRENDOUS, far worse than anything a woman may get.. hahaha ( only joking by the way...kind of haha x

Hi lucy im blind too and my.husband treats me just like a nirmal person ... I was registered partially sighted in August 18 and now im registered completly blind in november 19. If im in shopping centres when its busy he'll tell me its busy and guide me along ..Im a cane user .I love your videos .. I also upload videos talking about my blindness but hacent fine all in a week or so .. My eye is very sore

That doesn't mean you're not beautiful! I remember one time a few years ago I complimented a friend of mine, I think on her hair, and she said she hadn't been complimented in a couple YEARS. Even if it was an exaggeration, damn. I was so shocked! She had (and still does) a family, lots of friends (including a big close knit group) and a boyfriend of a few years. There are so many incredible things about her (not only looks either). It's just unbelievable how we people can be so loose lipped with what we don't like but mute about what we do. I wish out of the blue complimenting became more normalized.

I think this is amazing. Not just for blind and sighted couples. For blind couples as well. As my family find audio description very annoying but the fact that somebody can except it it’s really good. So me and my boyfriend find it annoying as that’s the only way we can watch a film together with other people. I think it’s good that your partner can except your disability and it can help other people found us to understand our disability better as they can see that we are normal people and have friends and some of us have partners that are cited. And some of us have partners that are blind. It doesn’t matter about having a disability it’s about how people around us except that disability and realise that we are normal people just like everybody else.

I definitely think that his right blindness does not define who we are it’s only a small part of us. I am in a blind couple and I think it brings us closer together as we both understand a disability but it’s nice to see that sighted people can except blind people and be together. As everybody deserves somebody sighted or blind. All that matters is that that person cares for them and loves them and treat them right.

There is absolutely a part of the population who feel like they could never date a blind person nor would they want to. It’s difficult as a single person newly having lost quite a bit of my already bad vision. They think they have to take care of me, they think they are “taking advantage.” They thing they’ll catch it. It’s really nuts! Like, if I had another disability where I had to use a wheelchair or are hearing impaired that seems more “acceptable” in dating. It’s stupid.

OK this is off topic lol, but y do pple get treated differently just cuz they have some sort of disability like bruh it's just unfair and like I relate to the fact of not being able to see cuz like my eyesight is generally crap (I think that I may be legally blind idk tho lol), I legit sit in the front row at school and STILL have to squint like hell to see the smartboard (doesn't help that I don't have classes at the moment). Like if I sat at the back of the classroom I wouldn't be able to see a thing that would be on the smartboard. LIKE NOT MY FAULT MY EYESIGHT IS CRAP JUST LIKE ITS NOT UR FAULT UR BLIND OR ANYONE ELSE THAT HAS SOME KIND OF DISABILITY IT NOT UR FAULT U HAVE IT ITS JUST NATURE. we all deserve the same treatment no matter if we have some kind of disability or not we're all *Human* same w those of us who r in the lgbt we're still human just like those who have disabilities like God pple can be ignorant idiots.
