Why Would TikTok Rather Shut Down Than Sell? Major Players Exposed

A recent joint poll conducted by Reuters and the Ipsos polling agency on April 29-30 showed that 58% of respondents believe that the CCP uses TikTok to "influence public opinion in the United States," while 46% of respondents agree that the CCP uses TikTok to "monitor the daily lives of Americans."
The poll also showed that 50% of Americans support a ban on TikTok, 32% oppose such a ban, and the rest are unsure. The poll only surveyed American adults and did not reflect the views of those under 18, who make up a significant portion of TikTok users in the U.S. About one-sixth of respondents aged 40 and older supported the ban, while about one-fourth of respondents aged 18-39 supported it.

China is plagued by a fundamental imbalance in its economy: It has relied disproportionately on government spending and commercial investment to fuel economic development (and a debt to GDP ratio of well over 300%), rather than consumer spending, which would be a sign of more organic and sustainable economic growth. Their commercial investment was also massively assisted by foreign investment and that's now all but dissappeared. That leaves gov't spending left to fuel their growth. Govt and international commercial intervention (often bribed govt intervention anyways) is definitionally bad and a matter of least-worst negative-sum tradeoffs in the best case. China is unfortunate to be mostly run off of that, and far from the best case.

Island of Taiwan is currently govern by the Republic of China. A democratically controlled independent nation. Yes Republic of China used to control mainland China but lost control in the chinese civil war to the communist militia which became chinese communist party making the remaining democratic china flee to the Island of Taiwan. Communist China has never once gain control over Taiwan throughout its 70 years after WW2. So I highly recommend you fix your mistake. I don't watch videos of someone criticising communist china while showing a map of communist china with taiwan under its control.

Yes teenagers use the app the most but they are minors. They cannot legally consent to anything related to their safety. [ I mean, the adults are responsible for their safety, not the children].
