If we put it in perspective, In my mind, it isn't hard to place Yamaha at at least first form Frieza, although some may say im highballing him, im just giving a number that isn't to outlandish compared to every one else in the show. Well, said First form Frieza casually blew up planet Vegeta, a planet filled with hundreds of thousands of Saiyans, almost all of which are fighters who wipe out entire planets. Now, say Yamaha was in our world, even if he only had a power of Goku after arriving on Namek, around 90,000 or so. He would be able to destroy our entire planets easily, and nothing we could do would stop him, except for MAYBE the hoe that a nuke, where the radiation could damage his cells with radiation poisoning or something. That is our ONLY hope.

Yamcha saved everyone when he fought the saibaman. If you can remember Kirin was originally the one who wanted to fight him but then Yamcha stated he should do it cause bringing back Kirin with the Dragon Balls would be tough since Kirin already died once so Yamcha knew he was taking one for the team. Had Kirin fought the saibaman instead of Yamcha then Kirin would have probably let his guard down like what he did in the tournament of power thus he would have been killed instead of Yamcha and then he would have never been killed by Frieza on Namek which would have gotten Goku to his Super Saiyan form.

Chi Chi even could have gotten away with going to Namek with Goku. After training one night they could talk a bit about what are they going to do now that Goku’s back and discovering he’s a Sayin and what do with Gohan given the experience he was having then. Maybe if the humans got the ultimate form/mystic form instead of Gohan they probably would have been set. While Gohan fuses with Goku instead of Vegeta. Yamchas weakness is his inability to gauge his opponents strength. He is cocky and unobservant. The cockiness stemming from his rapid growth in power whenever he finds an opponent stronger than him. Ending with him fighting some of the strongest people around and suffering from it. However it is due to this unending willingness to fight superior opponents that Yamcha grows as quickly as he does in DB. It is a weakness, and a curse, yet also his main drive.

This video missed one of the most important pieces of evidence to how powerful Yamcha is. During the Buu arc, then many of the Z fighters are killed, you see Yamcha in the other world training under the grand kai in otherworld. He's there fighting 2 other beings at once, and winning quite handily. Fighters that Goku struggled with in his super saiyan 2 form. And he continues to train against these fighters until Buu shows up and starts beating face. Yamcha is by no means weak. By the end of the Buu arc, Yamcha at his base is at least as powerful at super saiyan 2 if not approaching super saiyan 3.

He beat recoome who was more than twice the power of planet buster vegeta. Now? He has trained a ton and is fighting on par with roshi who has even more feats to back up his strength. One example, buu saga tien was able to wound an off-guard super buu. This would put him at solar system minimum. He continues training non-stop until the t.o.p. He then gets absolutely destroyed by roshi.

Because if we were to say assume it was before Roshi got his dose of the herb that grants him his power and his long life it would be a far more even match. If it's after that point in super though Roshi would guaranteed thrash him unless Yamcha had a real good trick up his sleeve. And yeah we can't discount the fact that Tien has some of the best ki manipulation and understanding of everyone because Tien at the risk of his own life was able to anger and hurt cell in his semi perfect form despite being weaker than Krillin at the time. And as you mentioned Tirn was and is stronger than Yamvha for sure. But man we gotta cheer for yamcha at least once and if it's an alternate universe in which he stayed relevant but became evil that'd be fine with me. Also Super just treats Tien and Yamcha like trash for no good reason let's be honest. Then again the fan base both idolizes and treats Yamcha like trash constantly so I guess Tien gets the same now.

Yamcha is an unfortunate victim of the 'Worf Effect.' He's not weak, especially by real life standards or non main character standards in dragon ball. But because he was routinely used to show how tough a new antagonist is, he ends up 'feeling' weak. And because his character along with so many others were pushed to the side more and more as the story went on he never really got a chance to get some meaningful wins to offset that. When a character becomes the punching bag to show off how strong new characters are, over and over again, it becomes hard to shake this off when they don't also get more chances to win too.

Krillin is the strongest Human absolutely and I won't argue with that. He received a great power boost on Namek by the Namekian King there. It was the king's dying wish that his people be avenged. Combine that with the fact that Krillin trained as much as Goku and never stopped training and you can see that he has surpassed Roshi, Tien, and Yamcha. However, Krillin is not in the same power leagues at all of Golden Form Frieza, Blue Goku or Blue Vegeta.

Yamcha is actually a really great character and to me, most resembles a classic anime protagonist out of anyone else in Dragon Ball. His power level might be minuscule when comparing it to the Top Tier Z-Fighters but he’s far from weak. This is a guy who can probably whoop the ass of your favorite Marvel/DC character or at the very least put up an insane fight. Hypothetically, if he was a villain in Marvel, he’d be a nightmare for superheroes to deal with. While some Yamcha jokes are funny, he doesn’t deserve the hate I’ve seen him get. He’s my favorite character he has been and always will be he was the first character I watched in the series I. The original dragon ball I just grew up watching him and goku but my favorite characters in order go 1-Yamcha 2-Goku 3-Vegeta 4-Trunks and 5-picolo

Yamcha and other Z fighters deserve a big respect. Like, a legendary super saiyan sized respect. They never stop training and are willing to improve themselves even after getting jobbed over and over. They never ran from a fight and always give their best to beat the bad guy before eventually dying or getting stomped on. Hell, they were even willing to join ToP knowing there are gonna be absolute monsters like Jiren or Toppo

It's a nice refresher to see videos like this. Yes, compared to the heavy hitters of the Dragon Ball Multiverse, Yamcha isn't that strong but he issue is, that is all everybody is comparing him too. If you only take Universe 7, even with the Saiyans including Broly, Frieza and Piccolo, Yamcha is still within the top 20 strongest beings. I'm not sure if he ever achieved a power level comparable to Cell Saga Revived Perfect Cell like Tien, Krillin and Roshi apparently did, but i would definitely say he isn't that far off, but i would say he is most likely on par with Perfect Cell before he was revived from exploding and gaining a massive Zenkai boost.

I don't think so. Gero's scouters were destroyed in the Saiyan attack, so the Android's only knew goku was stronger than Vegeta, due to the earth not being destroyed. They didn't follow the fighters to namak, or observe goku training in preparation of the Android's. But I haven't seen Z or Kai in a few years, only abridged, so I could be wrong

@@Krazymaddog they had data on gokus growth potiential they knew how strong goku COULD become and they said his ssj was within their prediction of how strong he would be (if you look back they actually put up a good fight they were probably just planning on absorbing energy) so if yamcha was confused to be goku even if thats on the low end that would put yamcha around frieza level no matter what. (This is backed up by the fact after trunks told them the androids killed everyone even super sayains, piccolo told the group dont even bother showing up unless you think you can stand a chance so dont be dead weight, that is why choutsu didnt show up becuase tien said he was too weak and so for yamcha to show up he must think is he able to actually make a difference in a fight against people who can kill super sayains so he must be around frieza level minimum)

@@Krazymaddog What you're missing is that they were preparing to fight Androids that killed Super Saiyans. Piccolo even makes a huge point of telling everyone not to come if they'll be dead weight. Android Saga Yamcha may not be stronger than Namek Frieza, but he's *at least* 100 Million. There's not the slightest doubt in my mind that any two of Android Saga Krillin, Tenshinhan and Yamcha would wipe the floor with Namek Frieza 2v1
