I agree 100% with your assessment of both shows. Hogwarts Always is a fun time and excellent projection mapping. But CineSational is a true they nighttime spectacular. I overheard one of the creative dudes that was answering questions and giving interviews (I don't remember his name) say that there is one coming for HHN. He didn't say specifically this year, but an old lady can hope, right? It was nice finally meeting you, Tyler. My hubby is envious, lol. Please give Anna my love❤❤

We are going to Universal in October. If the parks close early for HHN will they be showing the lagoon show and Harry Potter night time show?

I was there with my family for the first public showing of both the lagoon show and the castle lights show. Lagoon show: it was absolutely magical and it felt like it lasted 30 minutes, way longer than I expected. Tip for everyone; to see the projections on the water, you need to be at the Central Park area. If you're on the opposite side, in the San Francisco area, you'll have to be turning your head regularly to see the fountains, the projections on the buildings, and the drones. From the Central Park area, you'll be able to see it all, but you'll need tu get there early to get good seats for now. Castle Lights: Spectacular. On June 14th, Griffyndor was the winner which was likely done on purpose for it's first public showing. But everything else was really magical and did not disappoint. I really encourage everyone to experience both shows at least once. You won't regret it!

I agree with you about Cinesational. Universal Studios finally has the world class nighttime show that they needed. They can't do the BIG fireworks like Disney because of their location, so instead, they have used drones as the WOW factor. The Hogwarts projection show looks like fun, but not my cup of tea. Speaking of nighttime spectaculars, have you seen the new fireworks show at EPCOT? Fireworks on steroids! So much better than the show that you two saw on your first visit. The drones at Disney Springs are also very impressive - and free!

I can't wait to see these in person. They both look amazing! There's so much going on for Cinesational that it seems you have to see it over and over. There's so much to see that some stuff might get missed. There's drones, projections on the buildings and on the water and fireworks. I think they hit it out of the park.

I am really bummed out that the summer lagoon show is going to be done August 30th.. We won't be to Florida until the second week of September for HHN... I was really hoping we'd be there early enough to catch the new show.. it's been so long. Also, I obviously love Ghostbusters and Jaws..so missing anything GB is a huge bummer. I feel like I'd have a similar emotional response that Tyler did. Will the "video store" tribute store still be open in September? I hope so. Truly.
