Click here to start speaking fluently: tinyurl.com/yaxpnay8 Click here to get native pronunciation: englishanyone.com/frederick Why do you understand so much English but still struggle to speak? It all comes down to the difference between knowing a word and owning it. In this video, I’ll reveal the three levels of vocabulary building and show you how to reach true fluency by eliminating doubt. :) 🧠 What We’ll Cover: Level 1: Translation and Definitions - Why this can be helpful for speed, but terrible for long-term memory and speaking ability. Level 2: Stories and Context - How connecting words to real stories (like my Japanese example) helps build deeper understanding. Level 3: Discovery - The best way to master vocabulary through natural context and real-world exposure, using my “native pattern review” technique. To explain this, I’ll share examples from Japanese and English, like how learning the word “crutches” can be easier with a story, and how phrases like “step up to the plate” are used naturally by natives to express taking responsibility in both sports and everyday life. Don’t get stuck as a “passenger” in your language learning journey - start driving today! Speaking is a unique skill that you can improve as you understand better. Then you speak when you feel more confident. But the driving analogy is helpful for understanding why you might know a lot of English, but not know it well enough to speak. :)
