Everything was well said. Sadly, when someone learns English and expects to use it, they probably will encounter native English speakers who have regional accents or very bad pronunciations. It is also a challenge to understand Irish, Welsh, and Scots even when they speak English properly. I watch lots of British TV and always need to have subtitles on no matter what.
