I live up in the northwest and I'm an aspiring musician. I live in Tacoma And I must say that these guys inspire me so much with their music, and it inspires me so much more knowing that they grew up in the same playgrounds that I did.

So how’s your musical endeavors been for the last decade?

When I saw them, this was one song that I was hoping they'd play, but they didn't... bummer. They're still a great live band.

A counterpart to 'Los Angeles I'm Yours', by The Decemberists.

Was it in good spirits or was it a rivalry thing? Decemberist fans aren’t as engaged with dcfc and vice versa.

I was at this show! Still trying to spot myself about two people back from the railing right in front of Ben. This doc never gets old.

on the record, he does say "i might explode someday soon," the sunny day in june is just something that i've always seen him do live, so no, you are not going bonkers, that is what he says.

why did i think this was the original recording? so good

Ben was trying to start a north/south indie rock rivalry, too bad it didn't work. If I were older I would definately record some songs about how it's so darn cold and dreary in seattle

Talk to people who were there in the 70's and 80's.. the orange sky with brown horizons and smell are nothing like it used to be. It takes time, LA doesn't have the constant rain to help scrub the air, but it's definitely improved while Seattle's gone a bit the other way with it's population growth.

It sounds like he's sick, not that he sounds bad, you can just kind of tell his nose is stuffed up. It must suck being sick on tour, and he still pushes on! It's like he's some sort of unstoppable train of terror. GO BEN!

I wish they would just make up. So complicated though. It wasnt until Chris left that I realized how much his value was.

Ben wrote the song at least six years before this performance and he meant no hard feelings after . I will admit they have a lot of hubris for performing that song in LA but it's a good song either way.

My only question to you would be if you had heard this song before going to that show? If so you had prior knowledge of his apparent disdain for L.A. through the tune's lyrical sense. If this is the case then why should he feel guilty for taking your money when you're just giving to him. The joke is now on you.

Dang, he sounds sort of out of breath. It's not a bad thing, just an observation. He must be playing really hard or it must be really hot in there or something.
