Thanks Kevin. So glad you're still here on this platform. I am sober heading into the Christmas Holiday and it will be my first time not drinking in 8 years. I'm excited on starting 2025 alcohol FREE! Hope all is well with you and the K-9's. -Bob

When you are excited about being the non drinker in the group then you are on to the magic! It truly is a higher level of existence to be clear minded and poison free.

I think about how I will feel the next day. This used to not work But at 54 it is working because the hangovers have gotten brutal.

Same here. I'm 59 and the toll it takes on mental health is much greater with age.

I’m 29 and hangovers come with extreme anxiety and depression and weird thoughts like what if reality isn’t real . Literally feel like my body is dying.

@@issac1135 yes, remember even back then in my late 20s..I the body is kind of dying with all those toxins for the liver to deal with.. don't worry, it gets worse with continued years or decades of binge drinking...

Yes agree. Find i dont want a drink for few days after working out and still getting benefits from a workout. Definitely the way to go, nature's natural mental health booster and great for physical health. Recommend everyone try this! 😀

Really agree with your take on the words addiction, alcoholic, and disease. They never sat well with me because in some ways it makes you powerless. I stopped drinking 7 months ago and your videos helped me reclaim control. I love not drinking. Being confident, healthy, emotionally stable… it is so worth it.

Coming up on 2 years. Yes, at first, it is difficult to be around drinkers. But.... it went from being extremely uncomfortable at first.....to mild discomfort.....to neutrality.....and finally to compassion when I was completely out of my head and into my heart. Every year I attend a work conference that involves lots of alcohol. I know that drinkers are uncomfortable around non drinkers. So I make the extra effort to be sociable to help make everyone comfortable. For me, this feels far....far better than drinking in these situations. It is powerful......

Misery loves company. The depressant nature of alcohol proves this.
@jennyrosd2003Ай бұрын
This is a huge deal. I realize how trained I am to not relax reward and unwind. Because I've used alcohol as the heart of my end of the day/weekend treat. But its not a treat!! Replacing a reward is tricky. Gotta really find healthy effective ways to put a happy cap on the top of your accomplishments or you'll slip into more unhealthy rewards. Right now. ...as cabin fever sets in ...I'm looking at this phone too much. I am aware and working my way through. Awareness is the first step. Its all such a trick . Gotta be kind to yourself and keep seeking .

Don't be too hard on yourself, Jenny. Being kind to yourself is sometimes taking an extra half hour on a video game or having a bit of chocolate haha...
