What did you think of Edzná? Also, let us know if you liked that we included the explanations from the actual guide! Is this something you'd like to see more of in the future? Or do you prefer to hear it from us?

It’s surprising that these buildings are preserved in such a good condition despite the years. Buildings full of history! Reminding us how developed the Mayan culture was!

They are incredible! They have been restored though.. we were kind if shocked to learn that, but they have restored them to make them look like they used too. We went to another Mayan ruin called Coba, and they haven't restored the buildings, and they look super different!

Edzna was the best Mayan city we visited! This was the perfect way to say goodbye to Campeche (except for the cheese ice cream 😂)

This is on my list. I don’t speak Spanish and how did you know which colectivo goes to Edina? Im travelling solo btw and I’m afraid the colectivo won’t leave if I was the only one heading to the ruin. 😢
@waysoftheworld_ Жыл бұрын
You can just say "Edzna" and they'll put you in the correct colectivo. There may also be some other tourists, which would be a good sign. The colectivo makes many stops along the way before turning around at Edzna, most passengers are local and won't be heading to the ruins, but it doesn't matter...

Did it really have cheese? I tried Queso Helado in Oaxaca (I think), no actual "cheese" involved. Interesting. Edit - queso helado = Arequipa, Perú

We promise it was actually Gouda cheese. And we didn't like it at all 🙈
