Why You Need An Auxiliary Fuel Tank - RV Transport

I don't' do RV transport, but I buy auction vehicles and also pull a travel trailer for pleasure. Just got a 100 gallon aux tank with a nozzle/pump setup. Just the peace of mind knowing I won't run dry in an area with fewer gas stations or ones that are closed at night is worth the cost. I will install it tomorrow. Informative video. Great Points Daniel. I don't haul RV's for a living but I do haul my own from time to time. I don't think I could justify an aux tank but I still enjoy hearing the info. Thanks for sharing.

Yes I am looking forward to getting out there. But I have a little delay my 4500 the guy that was supposed to buy it backed out so I put it at my friends car lot and hopefully it sells soon where I can get the 3500 I was going to buy and I will be having a 45 gallon auxiliary fuel tank put on that

Have you calculated the total cost when factoring in the decreased mpg from hauling around the extra weight of the fuel? Even 0.5 mpg difference can factor out to a lot of money.

Love your videos. I was just thinking about this subject today! Wow! What a coincidence! Anyway I was thinking about S&B fuel tanks and Titan fuel tanks. They have replacement factory fuel tanks which are bigger than the factory. Also titan has in bed tanks and spare wheel replacement tanks. Just what I have researched in the past. Anyway keep up the good work!

Do you leave truck on high idle at night / 1100 rpm on the Ram Cold out / hot out ? Diesel combustion at 180 coolant temp / cylinder wall temp ?

I thought the Aux. Fuel Tank was just to increase range. I didn't even think of the extra filter. So you just pump gas into you Aux. tank and that fills the main tank?

Haha DOT might be concerned about containers not being secured down but other than that I would think that’d be fine. You’d waste a lot of time filling and emptying them in the long run. Just my thoughts on it! God bless my friend! 😎
