Is it normal that when the camera screen switches off, the hdmi signal is cut? Must the camera screen be on all the time?

Nice detailed review. Is the included sunshade sufficient to make you see the screen clearly in bright sunny days? I'd like to buy an F7 because its 2200 nit screen can handle outdoor sunlight but: 1) it's more expensive, 2) too big and 3) the hdmi ports are at the bottom of the screen. So if the sunshade is sufficient, I'll stick to the F6 plus. Thank you!

It is effective, but does not 100% solve all the problems when filming on bright sunny day. a bright screen is still better choice if you are planning to shoot a lot under bright sunny days

If no sunlight directly shine on it yes. Otherwise really should use a hood

Hi! I know this is an old video, but I try to find something about external monitor. It does do something for the video or is just for better view of what are you filming? If you set something on external monitor, those settings will be recorded on internal camera SD? Thank you so much!

Better/bigger view of the image, also allow you to position monitor in a easier to view position (especially if you camera doesn't have fully articulated screen), and also provides you some extra on-screen display tools

Richard Wong Hi and thank you for your quck response. I have a G9 so the screen is fully articulated. What I’m confused is about the final result. So the external monitor it doesn’t change nothing for what you filming. It just shows in more details what are you filming. Is that true?
