I am, and have been strictly single player pve. I played on a pvp server literally once with my friends and the chaos people cause is just so toxic. Like they'd be on official rates, work so hard to get just one measly dino, and have it utterly obliterated the next day. And yeah, I've lost plenty of dinos to caves, lava, that type of stuff; but it is nowhere near as frustrating as official pvp servers can be. I dunno, there are just different viewpoints and ways people like to play.

PVE is where its at with most open world multiplayer survival games nowadays unfortunately if you are mature and want to have fun over toxic competitive childish communities. Ark is one of the worst for such a young toxic player base in pvp unfortunately. The whole situation with the PVP community thinking its "cool" or "funny" to abuse players for wanting to play the game without PVP literally proves our point. These games which make you lose all your progress when you get raided bring the worst out of people. And those who are toxic in the community are usually kids who watch "BEST PVPER IN ARK" youtube videos and inspire to be the best and will abuse anyone who disagrees with their gameplay. Sadly you see these children often on the official discord getting muted too. 12 year olds calling people "really bad and stupid" simply because they want to tame and fight AI rather than players.

Unfortunately ill never play PVP. I know how terribly competitive and aggressive the pvp community is from a friend who played it. Constantly coming back to hard work being destroyed? I dont understand the emotional reward from working just to have some tuff on the internet destroy it. Half the time they domt even need what you have, its just spreading negativity for negativity's sake...I wonder where people get the need to do these things from.

The follow thing is something I have incorporated in my turret towers,along with turrets,and plant x,I tether raptors and in rare cases dimorphs to the tower like that,and with everything combined its more or less overkill for a pve setting.dimorphs are small,alot can pack into a small area,and when bred a pack can dish out a ton of damage.and raptors are just nasty fast attacking dinos.i tend to set the tame the raptors are following to passive,the raptors to attack target,and if I use spotters like a dodo,I set them to aggressive, all longest target range and ignore group whistles.its set and forget defence.raptors can be a bit annoying to set up though,they tend to act like they snorted a line or two of coke lol.

i use the x4 auto guns which seems to be the most effective straight out for killing - i enjoy the industrial manufacturing aspect so this suits me - In primal ARK i advise against using the x-plants on boats as they have a tendency to trigger agressive dinos to attack and destroy the boat. On some servers it is possible to place auto guns on extended quetz platforms, these work as great gunships to clear out the wyvern trench so you can then pick up eggs.

This is a great video, very helpful. Many people deny kiting can damage your base. I am one of those players that builds a big metal box, I understand it's not pretty but some dinos can take weeks to grow. Good work, thumbs up.

I always put my favourite dinos inside or into the obelisk before I log off because I've seen what my brother (a pvp player who helped me get set up in pve when I first started the game) can do and I didn't want to risk that happening to my dino friends. Some stuff he would do included flying by with his wyvern to pick up people's dinos and dropping them in the wasteland (extinction), or leading corrupted rex and gigas to this guy's cave base to destroy his cryofridges which were full of really strong reapers and other hard to get dinos. Or this one time when he went and claimed every dino from this other super active tribe who missed one week of logins, because they were extra busy with work, and then killed all their dinos and sent them a photo on discord. That tribe quit after that. So yeah, always be careful even in pve because you never know when a troll like my brother, will join your server.

Love this comment. As for picking up dinos, depending on the settings in a PVE server, you shouldn't be able to do that.

You can even whistle dinos to follow a raft that you are riding, thats how I keep my sarcos and Basilos coming back to my shore without a gate in my single player world

To my knowledge every time a plant species fires it expends 200 fertilizer. May be different on PVE but I could have sworn that's how it worked.

I play the easiest lvl lol. Yup I’ve gotten good and lvled up nice with no plans of changing but now I’m noticing raiding on my server and it really bothers me. My tribe and I have worked really hard for the bases and Dino’s we have. Plant x and turrets everywhere, Dino’s on neutral and we’ve heard placing beds around the base will prevent a raid. Any other defense I’m missing that I should add from cowards who can’t play pvp so they bully on pve.

Does this work if you're offline? Velos and turrets dont work while im offline but they do while im online. Havent tried plant x tho

i only play pve,and i put all my dinos inside,if i can now i started to have like bronto,rex,and other big dinos and they are outisde,rex is on attack,others on passive,i joined for few mins one day,every dino of my tribe friend was all around the place argy attacked,and then later 2 rexes spawned close

Plant x uses fertilizer when it shoots.

singleplayer dont need any defence, online you need pve defence against players push wild agrecives creatures to kill you and tames !

Use heavy auto turrets. About 6 of em should do and that alpha rex is toast

1. Heavy turrets everywhere. 2. Keep all of your tames inside, that rex will destroy anything outside. 3. Pray to your god.

mfw single player ark and the creatures are only spawning at low level despite difficulty 0.8. Turned off pve because i can't pick up wild dinos on pve, plus its just me.

My problem with these is that like on the server i am in now..... someones whole base is in a starter spawn location. And the dude walled off everything. Same with the obilisk and its fcking annoying. He also placed pillars EVERYWHERE. Meaning we cant build on the starter island. Not place a small shelter or a bed or even gather rescources.... i think its hindering and toxic

Jus got wiped for the 3rd time in a month on pvp every time we got our selfs doing great some one shows up with golems an other soakers an they take/ kill everything such a great game but it’s really let down by its community unless you are alpha you will be wiped everytime no matter what people in ark feed of the weak an hardly ever fight against equal or better tribes atleast not in my servers but it is what it is LOL

Yup, I just finished my big base on official, it took 2 weeks of grinding, then some big boy of the server came and flattened it all with a level 400 giga when I was offline. Those people are pretty pathetic

I trust players on pve. There is no benifit from scamming u will get banned and i get my items back i lose nothing. If u play on official then yesh irs scammy but on unofficial with discord servers ut isbt hard to get an admin to help

The people who build pillars everywhere on pve are toxic, there's a group called the arkitects that take over all of the easy zones on each server they play on so new players are forced to Starr in hard areas
