was originally going to say this sounded like a mindustry version of satisfactory... but after having watched the video? it's a sci-fi eden uprising with a little bit of satisfactory thrown in. I am 100% ok with this. Also, 150 enemies, with laser turrets shootind and traps and stuff around on top of it, and only a couple frames lost, on a full 3d game that has this level of graphics? the dev's level of optimization is clearly something all dev's should strive for. defenitely gonna have to keep my eye out for this one.

The detail is really cool. I love the pop and spin of the enemies getting shot, and how they seem to crash in a random direction, still spinning, with parts flying. I remember having that sort of detail on just boss fights in most games. There's one thing I'd change, and one I might add. That hammer... I'd go with some sort of drill laser thing, vibrating the rock instead of doing the jello thing, and rather than absorbing the end product, have it blast out in random directions on the floor. The thing I'd add is mirrors to do some directional stuff with the lasers. I might even forgo the built lasers entirely, and have one automatically in each corner, just a little cylinder automatically shooting in one static direction, and the mirrors are the expensive thing you get to play around with, getting the beam to follow a specific path. You could even add some sort of prism for late game, bursting a beam into several... possibly.
@BigRookDigital2 жыл бұрын
Yes :) mirrors are unlocked in a later stage, but you understand the concept perfectly. Thanks for the feedback on the hammer! It is the first of many harvesting tools that are unlocked, and the most advanced one is basically what you described with a laser!

A truly minor quibble. But if we never do any mining on Earth in this game then there is no point in calling the rocks "Mars rocks." We are on Mars. They are rocks. We are well over 100,000,000 miles away from Earth; no one was confused about the origin of the rocks we're currently smashing to bits while standing on Mars. Cool concept though and I look forward to where this game will go. Ton of potential here and seems like a lot of fun.

My first thoughts are: We really need to have a wiki or list or something over useless (for when the game is out) awards. 1:33 I hope they fix the asynchronization between the audio and the subtitles - about 5 seconds is far too much. 2:03 I first noticed it around here, but the movements seem a bit stiff, especially when making small movements (E.G. from box to box). And I'm not too sure about the decision behind the running with the hands in a downwards position, but there might be a good reason for it. Overall, though, this is just me being picky, as I don't think movements as good or better than this are very common(?).
@IRMentat Жыл бұрын
movement and enemy impact from player weapons looks good. this could be an alternate take on the sanctum/EDF wave/map-system given how well it's handling enemy numbers in dynamic environments so far. definitely want to see some scaled up stompy foes, a few weakpoint based ones to anchor attack forces would be nice (not bullet sponge mind you, weakpoints should be just that, you hit them a few times and the part the are attached to disables, preferably with a boom). games got potential, i hope it lives up to it and doesn't just become another cookie cutter sand-bucket with 4-5 enemy types an only one biome/map.
