Thank you so much for your simple yet detailed explanations! I shook my head and laughed at your reasons for changing a needle more often (in a good way)!! I have also been a naysayer who doesn't believe in changing the needle super often. That being said, I never thought about how much we put our needles through by the hour or even by the minute! Thank you for the specifics of what a needle does in the course that time. It definitely shows good reason for needle-changing! Generally speaking, any time I'm having difficulty with the stitches from my embroidery/sewing/serger machines, a new needle and rethreading often fixes the issue without any further tampering. 😊

I rarely change my needle, unless I need a specific one for the thickness of my thread. After, I put the other one back in. I have NEVER...NOT ONCE...seen ANY damage to my fabric from the needle. I have been sewing for DECADES. Again.... NOT ONCE, have I seen damage from needles. (Tires are NOT like a needle, by the way. )
