Amazing to get a Tech Tuesday on the 4th!!! I was able to get my hi-temp brake fluid flushed…only $165 and took three bottles of the Motul 660 I purchased from Korey at Paragon! Unfortunately they need a new alignment machine (about to get) so they can clamp on my CF wheels without damage and need a screw/hardware kit to mount the rear brake ducts as it was missing from the car during Museum delivery…glad I did it in advance of my first track day so I still have time to get it all situated! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

So true! When I picked up my C8, the previous owner had 20" and 22" setup wheels and there was a slight shudder, the road force balance, as well as the pilot sport tires that I upgraded to took care of this issue.

Great explanation on road force. I would like to see you use stud flange plate to mount wheel on machine. The cup even with rubber protector could mar a soft mag clear coated wheel. This also torques the wheel on the machine the way lugs mount it on the car. The centering check is essential to assure the wheel is mounted correctly before attempting to do anything. Chuck is a great tech that cares about doing it correctly.

I still trust the Corvette engineers more than somebody promoting their clear acrylic engine cover . I'm sure Corvette would love to have an option for a cover like that , but they have explained that a 14" clear square is the largest they can offer because of the necessary insulative and reflective material needed above the heads, headers, and exhaust. It makes complete sense.

Very informative! Learned alot about tire balancing from Chuck. I'll come back up soon from Cincinnati to have Chuck check and balance my tires. I am very interested in your longer term experience with the clear cover...Will the underside of the clear cover collect dust to the point where you will need to remove it every week and clean it? Will the heat yellow the cover and how will the headliner handle the extra heat over time. Glad we have you Rick as our guinea pig in this experiment! 😁

I just had a vibration and my wheels road forced under 20lbs but were still bent. Straightened and rebalanced, rides great now.

So knowing I'm not going to track my new non-Z51 C8 (that has a TPW of 7/24) I should have the local dealer reset the alignment for better tire wear. Sounds like that is what Chuck is promoting and it makes sense to me, just wanted to make sure I understand what he is saying.
